The drivers in the ECM for the back up alarm can fail over time. Re flashing has fixed this by swapping to a different driver circuit. 321 white will be the + wire at the alarm, brown is the ground side. After market alarm should be ok as long as its 24v.

    Some random work pictures.

It can be a big job depending how worn it is and if the bores are ok. If it just needs pins and bearings its a matter of disconnecting hoses, drive shaft and unpinning, support one end frame and pull the other away. The rear frame it heavy at the back so we pull that away with a forklift while...

    Morbark track chipper undercarriage

Are you sure its a 225? If it is then it will have a bent axis motor, a pretty big motor sticking out the back of the final. It has a brake pack between it and the final. It uses hydraulic pressure to release the brakes that comes from a brake valve. 300 series cats have a smaller straight...

    Some random work pictures.

Some interesting buckets with thumbs showed up at work. Pivoting here is a good idea. The bucked can be moved but the debris inside wont fall out until the thumb is opened. 3 different sizes. TH407 showed up, looks like a handy little telehandler.

    CAT 928G Z - block heater?

I think it is on the block under the turbo. It depends what 928G you have and if it has a 3116 or a 3056E. They install where a freeze plug goes.

CAT D6R w/C9 fluttering under load

If you have ET, monitor the injection actuation pressure. desired and actual will be within 50psi of each other. If not its either the sensor but probably the pump. You can remove the top of the pump and look inside, there is a coil in there that attracts any metal debris so you can see if the...

Cat 953b running ruff when under load?

If it ran somewhat ok before the rebuild then i would guess it is related to the rebuild or removal of the engine. Why was the engine rebuilt?

    D6N wiring harness schematic.

Glad you got it running. We had a 627 that was hit by lightning and it did the same, fried ECM's, sensors and caused all kinds of issues.

    Some oddball questions

Improper lubrication can cause damage to machine components. To avoid damage, make sure that the proper amount of grease is applied to the swing drive. When the amount of grease in the compartment becomes too large, the agitation loss becomes large, thereby accelerating grease...

Cat 953b running ruff when under load?

Running through a sight glass is how we check all 3116's after we do injectors. I have cut the cups so they looked nice and clean, seated the injector and sync'ed it only to have a bad seal. Under load/boost it allows air into the fuel and then it runs rough. The fuel enters at the back of the...
