    Power Bobtach for S185

I use the bobcatpartsonline website. Input your serial number and away you go. You don't need an electric switch. You could use a manual control, inline. I'd guess the wiring is already in the machine, if you want to go that way. Wiring diagrams on the parts website also.

Bad hydraulic leak - John Deere 260 series II

Best not to work alone on these things. Start and have a couple of sets of eyes watching to narrow down leak area. Oil moves all over in those small spaces. It won't always be where you think it is. Look for wear points, anything rubbing on metal. If the machine can run for a minute I'd top...

    Power Bobtach for S185

Looking at my S300 you would need the control valve, attached at back of pump, and two lines from the valve through the boom to the bobtach. Probably not a big deal but I'd hate to have to attach the valve on the pump.

Bobcat S300 works in high speed but only goes straight in low speed

Thanks for the reply Simon. I disassembled the 2 sp/brake solenoids and bench tested. All seem to be fine. It shifts up and down on both sides and responds, not well, but you can tell it shifted. The brakes hold and release with the brake switch or the seat bar. I wonder about case drain or...

Bobcat S300 works in high speed but only goes straight in low speed

Thanks for the suggestion. I ran the machine a bunch today, dozing and moving dirt. It performs almost normally in high gear. The left is definitely weaker and there is a hesitation or weakness until you push/pull the left stick hard. It's really strange. How would I check the leaking on the...

Bobcat S300 works in high speed but only goes straight in low speed

Today I threw an extra washer in the charge relief and the pressure jumped to about 1000. Too big a washer?! Even at 1000 when I pull/push the left stick it will still drop to 0 without any movement. If you move the right stick and then the left the machine will move but when using the left...

Bobcat S300 works in high speed but only goes straight in low speed

I checked the charge pressure and it is around 340 when idle, driving forward or reverse with both sticks and in both gears. When i push the left stick only it drops to 0. Is this the left side pump going or is there something else? Thanks for any assistance.

Bobcat S300 works in high speed but only goes straight in low speed

Serial # 525813507 Any recommendation where to tie the gauge in? I'm not used to checking pressures. Normally I can find a dirty screen or filter somewhere but I'm questioning whether there is something inline I'm not aware of or can't see without disassembly. Thanks for the feedback.

Bobcat S300 works in high speed but only goes straight in low speed

Hey, I only work on machines that are near the end of their useful life. This one is no exception. We've been keeping it together for 10 years and it's as well maintained as possible. Regular fluid changes, belts, hoses, little is left in disrepair. It has 7200hours and is on it's second engine...
