Liebherrs aren't too bad of a thing, we run two 994B's here and a Hitachi EX3600 (-5 I think) and while the liebherrs have there share of painful problems a lot comes down to maintenance, and when they're going they go hard, admittedly the slightly larger Hitachi will out dig them and is...

Well that went off on a tangent i hadn't thought of!!! Interesting info but!! :thumbsup Explains why old loader 1 had so many hrs on the original engine!!! We've been achieving 20 thous hrs (approx) out of our 3516B engines in the 789C's (well in most of them some didn't quite make it!)...

    Nothing but D11's

Have put some more from there in "Other Earthmoving Equipment - some Aussie Photos" Wish i had a pic of when we dragged one of the 11's out of the pit with the other one chained ripper to ripper after the engine seized, with Loader 2 following behind... just in case! That was just as I...

New equiment photos from a new coal mine in NSW, Pic heavy.

I've had a bit to do with liebherrs (994B's - 1 less engine and 300 tonne lighter but the principles the same!) and have found the worst part to keeping them going is getting someone to understand the electrics, once you get your head around the electrohydraulics they're fairly reliable and a...
