345bl hissing noise from boom cylinder

Sorry man I'm not following you(amateur here). What will the results of this test indicate? So that I understand, are you saying if compressed air does not pass through the cylinder then the issue is the line relief valve? Would this then indicate normal operation? That it's just relieving...

345bl hissing noise from boom cylinder

This is the video https://photos.app.goo.gl/AGaVUt6nMYYh9ocU9 That noise is with the machine off and the bucket in the air. It made this noise until it finally rested on the ground.

345bl hissing noise from boom cylinder

I think I ran it for about an hour after this happened may be more. It's not leaking and my hydraulic tank is full. Is this something I can just run until something stops working? Or should I stop immediately and address this? I'm guessing repairing this is above my pay grade. Is this an...

345bl hissing noise from boom cylinder

Had a weird issue today on my excavator one of my boom cylinders was making a hissing noise like crazy https://photos.app.goo.gl/5ScUjQUPNm7M6nPd9 It slowly lowered itself to the ground after a minute or so. It's never done this before. I ran it for a few hours afterwards and everything seemed...

So this is the start from yesterday - https://photos.app.goo.gl/M7zu3A1x8vutd15NA To summarize I started flushing the bottom of the fuel tank. I've done it 3 times since this start. I probably remove about 4oz of pure black crud the first time. Now it seems to be pretty minimal. I've been...

Here is my start from yesterday. I wasn't cranking the engine sputtered like this on its own then finally kicked over. It was about 36 degrees out. Much colder than when I typically start it. https://photos.app.goo.gl/JbvH9LrE12ahGMMv8 I replaced that air valve that was recommended in prior...

5200 elevation, high of 50 low of 30. I started it around 10am. This last start isn't too relevant as I'm sure there was a ton of air in the lines because I wasn't properly priming it after I just replaced the filters and valve. I'm not sure if it was #1 or #2. There was only one option for...

So this black stuff is not the end of the world as long as I keep doing this every time you think it will be fine?

Yea... I guess I never gave it much thought. Next time I'll know how to do it. Does anyone know which but I have to crack on this thing to let the air out? Oh well next time hopefully it fires up without any issues after replacing the valve. If not back to the drawing board.

Today I put the new valve on and emptied the bottom of the fuel tank. This came out (attached). The gallon container is from my water fuel separator as I replaced it and just drained it in there. The small bottle is from the bottom of the fuel tank. It came out black but there wasn't a lot of...

So I have some steps to perform to clean out the fuel tank which I'm aware of. If it doesn't improve after this the check valve seems like a pretty simple fix to try. @heymccall this is the only image of my engine I have from this angle. Is that check valve easy to reach and replace? I just...

Ok so my apologies for saying gas instead of fuel/diesel. This is naturally just what comes to my mind when I think about my fuel tank. I ran my tank down to one bar today which means I have about 12 gallons of diesel in there currently. To make sure I have this down correctly. 1. I didn't...
