    Deere 310B Reverser

It should go into reverse in high range. Sometimes they are a little hard to find neutral if the detentes are worn and the linkage is sloppy, but there is one.

    Deere 410 clutch/hydraulic problem

It could be part #3 which is a solid rivet. It's also in the same vicinity if not right over the rear drain plug.

    Deere 410 clutch/hydraulic problem

Not related at all to your problem but the brakes do use oil from the hydraulic system.

No worries CM....just trying to figure out where the tires go? ;) The ones I'm seeing have like a big dumpster that the debris gets loaded into.

    1977 JohnDeere 310b lost hydraulics

Go to the tractor/loader/backhoes sub-forum and your other thread is 2 down from this thread at the moment. It has the same title as this thread. Another way to find your threads is to left click on your name and then "view forum posts". At the top of your threads there is a button called...

    1977 JohnDeere 310b lost hydraulics

I think a good test to see if the engine is still driving the transmission is to listen for gear grinding noise or feeling for teeth bumps on the shifters. Mine will always do this when first started even when the reverser is in neutral because the cold churning hydraulic fluid creates some...

    1977 JohnDeere 310b lost hydraulics

OP quote from another thread.... Don't get your hopes up about the screen making a difference. The hydraulics quit abruptly so that doesn't fit a clogged screen. Also, I had a leak that required a bit of work under my 410 and I pulled the screen to clean it. It was so clogged that no oil...

He has 2 different threads going with the same title but different questions. Maybe a mod can help out and refine the thread titles? Jerry, I will add a comment about your screen in the lost hydraulic thread.

    Cat 951-C in my sights

Thanks for the detailed pics Nitelite. It seems to be a simple task but the pics takes the mystery out of this job. Your undercarriage and the tractor in general looks to be in very good shape. :thumbsup

Advice for my first big job

Hi Bob, a phone call took care of it. They were billing it as a residence with the usage estimates of their service area during a very very cold winter. My figures that I posted were way off also. Adding all of the charges and taxes it's 14 cents per kwh and a little over $2 for the meter...

John Deere 410 - Hydraulic is dead

310B and 1977 is good enough for identification and your machine should look just like the pic in the first post of this thread. The model 310 may have an open center hydraulic system which is different than the 410 but others on the forum experienced with the 310 can say for sure. I have never...

John Deere 410 - Hydraulic is dead

Yes, there should be lower pressure oil flowing to the oil cooler from that hose which feeds the main high pressure pump on the front of the machine. Does your machine look exactly like the original thread starter's pic? The hydraulic system has changed over the years so we need to know more...
