    Komatsu plus vs conventional undercarriage

I just ran everything together with the 1/2” gun and squeezed them up then.

    Komatsu plus vs conventional undercarriage

The frustrating thing is the rest of the system shows very little wear. It’s like the external link isn’t heavy enough to handle the horsepower on the widepad?

    Komatsu plus vs conventional undercarriage

I decided not to replace with the PLUS system and bought a Komatsu HD AR system which uses conventional SALT chains with hardened links. The biggest downside is the pads won’t enter change between the systems but I’ll change everything out and it will be good for a long time to come again...

    Komatsu plus vs conventional undercarriage

Was there any downside you’ve noticed? Life span of the system, noise or blade bounce?

    Komatsu plus vs conventional undercarriage

Hello all. I am about to change out the undercarriage on a px61-23 and looking for opinions on which system to go for. Currently machine is on the plus undercarriage but link shoulders are failing at 4000hrs. Conventional is about 1/3 cheaper up front but will I regret it? Machine mostly does...

    Komatsu D61-23 CA2554 fault code

A small bit of information for anyone with this fault code. There is a pipe coming from the exhaust manifold going to a pressure sensor at the front of the valve cover. This pipe chokes with soot, blocking the supply and generates this Lo3 code. Disassemble everything and clean out the parts...

    Fuel consumption, CAT vs others?

I don’t keep track of what gets burned to be honest. I wonder how accurate it might be?

    Fuel consumption, CAT vs others?

If you have access to cat ET you can check the fuel totals. I have a 320dl with the a C6.4 (Mitsubishi) and in 12660 hours it has burned 177463litres. It works out at around 14l per hour which for the output I think is very respectable.

Cat 325BL: Educate me on a drifting swing system

You can check the swing brake by dropping the deadman while its on a slope starting to creep on its own and see does it stop abruptly. I had a b series years ago that two of the swing motor pistons poped off their slipper feet which cased it to free swing on a slope. New pistons and a cam plate...

    Cat 312 final drive issue

Seals are cheap. If are gone hard it’s probably pressuring your case drain as well (which is tee’d into the swing motor) buggering your swing motor. I have the t-shirt!

Would it be worth changing out the rotary manifold seals first before condemning any big components?

    Komatsu d61-23 aircon

Hi all. The aircon is poor on the tractor. Anyone know what weight of gas to refill the system (I think it 900g +/- 50g) and what should operating pressure be at? Thanks

    A25c won't accelerate

Ya one for each power level (one does 1st gear & overheat and the second full power retardation). Take away the feeding air supply and let us know?

    A25c won't accelerate

Hi all. I am really late to this party but I had this problem a few years back with an A25c. Looking in from the front of the engine there are two air solenoids under the right hand side of the windscreen. One of mine stuck in an open position sending an air supply down to the trans retarder...

    320CL ex with 9500hrs

Those hours wouldn’t worry me if the machine has been looked after over the years. Check the boom for cracking at that back gusset as heymccall said. It happened one of mine but was caught earlier so an easy fix

    Opinions on cat 312el please?

Im thinking of changing my older 312bl at the moment and wondering how fellas are getting on with the E series? I'd appreciate any opinions, faults, flaws, ect. about these if possible. The 312 s are on the go for so long now I presume they are well sorted but any insights would the helpful. Thanks

    Machine hours

This little 312bl does 1k hrs a year and I expect it to do another few years. As has been said above its all down to maintenance. If a machine is well looked after clock hours only tell half the story.
