    Grading our town roads

    Have been grading our town roads this week. Got an upgrade from our Dresser 850 to a Komatsu 655. The Dresser was 20years old with 10,000hrs Komatsu is 5 with 2000hrs.

    Basement help

    I've got to agree with bigbob loam is to expensive to waste, if we're not going to screen it on site to use then it's back hauled to the pit screened there and sold. As far as basements go our offsets are 5 or 6 feet, room enough for the concrete crew but not so far that they cant reach...

    Snowplowing when passing a driveway - how to

    Ill agree with OneWelder sometimes it depends on the owners atitude whether they get a little less or a little extra. I had one lady who always shovled her drive every time I went up by.She would be just finishing when I came back by and I would fill the drive again.

    what kind of mechanism is this?

    The first cat grader I ever plowed snow with was set up the same way. You realy had to be on your toes around mail boxes.Heck of an education for a sixteen year old kid.But after that its all downhill.
