    420 e hydraulic locked out

Aloha! Thank you guys so much for your help! We were able to trace the issue to these two relays 276-7290/276-7291, which also fixed our fuel cut-off solenoid issue, and restored power to all our gauges and sensors in the dash. The only thing still giving us trouble is the extendable stick...

    420 e hydraulic locked out

Yep, you’re right, I ordered just the solenoids. Great idea about the auto electrician, we’ll try tracing on our own first. Thank you again for your help :)

    420 e hydraulic locked out

Thanks HeyMcCall; I can't make out the even pages on your attachment, not that it would help anyway, as I am completely lost.... I do have an electrical schematic, but where do I even start? Nige, I ordered the solenoid you mentioned, as well as the output one recommended by my parts...

    420 e hydraulic locked out

Hi Mega, could you tell me if the solenoid you replaced is the one Nige attached on his last post? Thanks in advance for the help!

    420 e hydraulic locked out

Hi Nige, there is no power to the solenoid, and the only thing on the backhoe controls that works is the horn. The serial number is HLS06165.

CAT EL240B overheating and oil loss

Also wondering if it could possibly be leaking oil from a freeze plug or something? Any help is very appreciated.

CAT EL240B overheating and oil loss

My machine was overheating, I changed the overflow tank, regulator, and cap before figuring out my water pump belt was broken. Changed that and ran fine 8-10 hrs, then on my next pre-check I lost about 2L of oil, and there was some present in my radiator. Just wondering if a bad water pump is...

AM General M939 6x6 military dump

The bed did lift, and kept lifting after the hoses were changed. The first time I changed them personally, and they were hooked up correctly, but I had a small leak, so when we had a hand, my husband had him redo the lines, but they were crossed. The dump still worked, it was just opposite, up...

AM General M939 6x6 military dump

Hi Mitch! Im so glad you’re familiar. We’re able to see the hooks that hold the bed down, and they’re not engaged, but didn’t know about the two smaller cylinders, so I’ll watch those next time I’m under there. Where is the valve spool located? I may have gotten that confused with the pump drive...

AM General M939 6x6 military dump

Hi Delmer, thank you for the advice. The hydraulic tank itself is full, so we’ll try what you suggested with the pump and hose. Thank you!

Hi Nige, sorry to hear that he has passed on; my condolences. As for our issue, I’ll check if it’s getting power and get back to you on that. Thank you for the help.

AM General M939 6x6 military dump

Aloha! The PTO for the dump bed engages, but there is no hydraulic pressure, and will not go up or down. The hoses were changed about a year ago. I’m wondering if it’s a cylinder or pump issue; does anyone know how I would I go about troubleshooting this issue? Thank you for your help!

    420 e hydraulic locked out

Aloha! I’m new here, so I hope I am able to post on an old thread and still get a response? If not, I’ll create a new post if needed. We are having a similar issue with our 420E, as none of our rear hydraulics are working, but the front loader bucket still works. We replaced the rear control...
