    1965 Case Model D530TC

Tried to sell it whole, nobody wanted it ... so I parted it out. Sold the backhoe and rear wheels/tires, saved a few hydraulic cylinders, saved the engine, and scrapped the rest of it. Ended up with around two grand, which I was happy with.

    Parting Out 1965 CASE D530TC

This Construction King has been in the family since '78 with little hard work until recently. Mostly used for long drive maintenance and burying the occasional horse or family pet. A couple years ago I started land clearing, removing timber for the sawmill over "challenging" terrain ... that's...

    new website

Hello Dan, First thing that pops out at me? Doesn't tell me where you're located. Also, no full names ... if you want people to call for services, they need to know who to ask for. One more thing, try to reduce the picture resolution (size) so they load faster. Add some more color (besides...

    Stumps

Pulled, Ripped, Wrangled, Dug, Jostled, Removed my first few tree stumps this past week with my new (to me :D) IHC 280A PayHoe. I'm in the process of building a 1400' drive through challenging terrain in rocky South Glastonbury, CT. The first was about a 16" red oak that was cut short to...

    100+ Year Old Iron

The caption is "Traction steam engine hauling borax, 1904" Don't know where this was taken, or who manufactured the Traction Steam Engine. I culled this from a power point presentation of "old" pictures that a friend emailed me. Any idea who made this tractor? Like how the woman are riding...

    1965 Case Model D530TC

Hi Folks! My father (God bless his soul) purchased this machine back in the mid seventies for a homestead machine ... hauling logs, maintaining the drive, digging horse graves, we also installed quick disconnects and ran a log splitter with the hydraulics. It has seen better days, the loader...

    Engine Idle Time

Thanks for all your thoughts on this, I really appreciate it :) So it would seem that when it's cold (≤ freezing), the general consensus is to leave it running at a high idle ... low idle when warmer. To keep the engine at proper running temps is the most important thing when it comes to...

    Engine Idle Time

Thanks for the advice guys :cool2 Hadn't really thought through the possibility of some sort of failure Willis ... very good point! Newest machine there is 30 years old! Was actually more concerned with theft, which will never happen ... this place is way out in the woods! I'll be shutting...

    Engine Idle Time

Hello there folks ... Been back at building the 1400' drive for a few days now, and have a question about letting diesel engines idle. This is a one man operation, so I load the truck, leave the backhoe running, drive the truck up through old woods roads, dump the load, then back. It's about...

    Getting paid?

It's a sick world we live in these daze! Seems an awful lot of people out there are just down right irresponsible ... they don't care about taking care of their dept. I don't understand it that's for sure! If any of you listen to the radio on a regular basis, you must have heard a few "dept...
