    Case 580B; tach drive removal... Help

    its not an easy deal When I overhauled our 580B, I had to destroy it to get it out. If your pan is off you can drive it from the bottem, if not you will have to do the vice grip trick. It will crater it. Good luck

    Is a Ripper worth having?

    nice addition, Any extra tool that you have extra makes your tractor more useful. We have a D-6 with a winch and back up rippers. I would say that rippers are very usefull for you. They also work as a counter wieght and good for sub ripping roots after clearing jobs.
