JLG 400CRT scissor lift won't throttle up- help please

Not good. Still struggling with it. We traced the wire all the way to where it comes out of the lower control box and when we give it power at that location the machine throttles up like it is supposed to. So basically we have been able to determine that there are no breaks in the wire and...

JLG 400CRT scissor lift won't throttle up- help please

A bit more info. I was able to confirm that the actuator that moves the throttle linkage is working fine. I put power to it and it did what it was supposed to do. So just not getting power to the actuator... Any ideas?

JLG 400CRT scissor lift won't throttle up- help please

Hello- I have a couple JLG 400CRT rough terrain scissor lifts. One of them will not throttle up with you activate the movement functions like it is supposed to. It does all the functions, just at an idle. I had a mechanic working on it and he said he thought he had tracked it to a bad relay...

There is one of these for sale in my area and was curious if anyone has any thoughts on them. Price is $1100 for "like brand new- great condition".

    Cat to the Mat

Not going to add much substance to the conversation here, but just want to say that I have owned JD, Cat, Bobcat and Komatsu track skids and of all of them, the 287b was BY FAR the worst of them. I couldn't sell that machine fast enough. High maintenance costs (plastic idlers?????), low power...

How bad did I screw up???

The machine is new to me, but not new. 2006 model with 790hrs. The pins have a retainer that is welded onto the end of them that makes their orientation unadjustable.

How bad did I screw up???

Interesting- apparently their sales force didn't get the memo.

How bad did I screw up???

I'm in oregon and they're not very common out here. I saw a tracked machine at the local rental yard a while back, but don't know that I've ever seen one in action on a job. I have a Komatsu mini-ex and love it, so I felt pretty confident with the brand. I bought this one for two reasons- 1)...

Pins that don't want to take grease- any ideas??

I just got a new (to me) skid steer- a 2006 Komatsu SK-1020 with approx 800 hours. I have just gone through a complete service so that I know where everything is on the machine. As I was greasing it, I found several pins that weren't taking grease well. 3 out of 4 of the bucket pivots...

How bad did I screw up???

Well, it was running when I put it in there, so I didn't have the option to not start it. I didn't operate the machine at all, so it shouldn't have gotten into any of the cylinders, valves or function hoses. I drained it and filled it up with new. I might start a new thread to ask this...

How bad did I screw up???

So I just got my new skid today (Komatsu SK1020) and it needed fuel. I went to put fill it up and accidentally put 1/4- 1/2 gal of diesel of in the hydraulic tank.:Banghead:Pointhead A padlock is going on that hydraulic filler asap. It looks way too much like a fuel filler and even has a "D"...

How too remove track on cat 287b

Yes, it is the same. These undercarriages take a LOT of maintenance and they are BIG bucks to repair. Do yourself a favor and check out the drum of each bogie assembly- 6 or 7 per side. There is a threaded plug in each. The tube is supposed to be filled with lube. The ASV dealer here said...

Komatsu PC-35 MR 2 Dash panel is dead

Thanks for the info. I believe I have determined that the panel is bad. I have the two powers going into it as I am supposed to. The dealership said they just had another one go bad this past week. They want $1400 for a new one!!:Banghead:Pointhead I'm looking for one off a dismantled...

Komatsu PC-35 MR 2 Dash panel is dead

So over night the dash panel on my PC-35 went dead. This takes out the gauges, which is annoying, but what really sucks is that it also takes out the button to go into fast track mode. I have power to the panel on two wires in the connector that goes to the panel. I don't have an...

CAt 287b hydraulic fluid spec please!

I don't believe there are any special reqs for oil. High quality diesel-specific oil like Delo or Rotella or others. Not sure on coolant.

CAt 287b hydraulic fluid spec please!

My 287b didn't come with an owner's manual and I need to add some hydraulic fluid. Can anyone tell me if there is a special spec for the fluid? I'd rather buy it at my local Napa instead of having to travel to the Cat dealership and pay the Cat premium. Thanks in advance!

    Rubbertrax on Cat/ ASV?

My "new" 287b showed up today. The tracks on it are so smoked that about half of the drive lugs on the inside of the track are worn off- could barely get it off the truck! And to think I was going to try to squeak a few more hours out of them :lmao:lmao I have a set of tracks on their way...
