    We always put them on a normal width trailer and block the front to get height down...

    hauling extra excavator bucket

    I put the extra in the bucket if it locks up tight against the boom(with chains over it)..If not I put it behind the machine..If its a permit load, at least in Ohio you better not have a extra bucket at all.

    A little tall!

    I guess a long time ago it would have been towable. I moved the whole plant, it took 2 days. Point a to point b was only 200 feet but it was one of situations where you couldnt get there. It was about a 1/2 mile the way I had to go.

    I was helping a crane and rigging company move a crushing/screening plant from one location to another on the same property. The only obsticle I had to deal with was a set of wires but I had a good 5 feet of clearance. any guesses on how tall this load was? The truck is 10'6" tall so im guessing...

    DOT INSPECTIONS - insane

    I agree I adjust my own brakes all the time. With the weight I haul I want to know they are right and not depend on a mechanic that forget something during a service. I use my engine brake ALOT probably why my trailer brakes lasted over 4yrs on the lowboy I pull.

    If this wreck happened at I-77 and St route 82 in ohio quite a few years ago. I cleaned up that wreck. It was one of the saddest yet most infuriating wreck I ever worked. I could not believe how out of adjustment the brakes were in that dump when we finally got it back upright and on the road...

    Mirror heaters thank goodness.

    There are many days a year here my heated mirrors are used all day and never shut off. I use them on rainy days to help with drying.

    how to tie down excavator

    Do you have the 345 over the jeep the get the height down or get more weight towards the tractor and jeep? I think it the later cause the cab of the excavator has to pretty high the way its sitting.
