Bearing Race in John Deere Pull Scraper Hub is loose

Have you checked with your dealer on the price of a new hub? In looking at the parts catalog (assuming you have a 1810E) the part CB01410333 is only about $850. That might be a better way to go if you are expecting the machining job to be over $1,000!

Smallest Deere dozer wit semi-u blade?

Great comment and you are right. This is why the Deere 750 is a much better SU tractor than the D6N. The 750 with a SU has a hard nose with vertical lift cylinders just like larger dozers.

    Volvo T450D

Volvo didn't purchasing anyone. It's simply a joint venture so that some Volvo dealers can sell K-Tec pans and their trucks will still have warranty when they are rigged up to pull a K-Tec. The article about the press release is here.

what are the advantages and disadvantages of a 6 way blade on a d6r

There are really two questions here. 1.)How does a 6-way blade work on a 185-200 hp tractor? 2.)How is the 6-way blade on a D6R? 1.) There isn't a more handy tool than a 6-way blade on a large dozer of this size. Unless you are planning on performing a lot of land clearing (removing a lot of...

Help on pre purchase advice for a dozer

The DC70, DC80 and DC100 were all built by MacMotor in Italy for Fiat with Cummins 3BT3.9 engines. They were 70, 80 and 100 horsepower respectively. They were branded Fiat-Hitachi in Europe and New Holland Construction in North America. All of these were offshoots of the Fiat Allis FD80 that was...

    Jd 9510r vs challenger mt965c

With all due respect...lets look at the tail of the tape: 450hp vs 560-600hp 8 speeds vs 18 speeds Torque converter vs direct drive single tires vs duals or tracks No comparison. A tractor is designed to pull, a modified ADT isn't.

    Jd 9510r vs challenger mt965c

This isn't quite true. There are lots of scraper tractors out running with high hours that haven't had any transmission issues. There is a local contractor near me with a pair of 9520s that are approaching 10K hours with no trans issues. This could have something to do with the fact that JD...

Any one have experience with Rippers on a wheel loader?

Have you thought about these on the back of the bucket? Lots of contractors in Colorado use these on basement digging wheel loaders in hard material. They actually work pretty well.

Will 20.5 tires fit on a Deere 344J?

20.5 tires on a 344J will definitely cause interference with the rear platforms as the axle oscillates and steers.

    Liebherr vs Volvo Wheel Loaders...

Here are some thoughts from recently running a L110G: 1.) Steering efforts were acceptably low most of the time. Occasionally, the steering efforts get very high and the steering wheel would feel as it momentarily locked up. Overall, steering performance was very unpredictable and it was...

    Liebherr vs Volvo Wheel Loaders...

I can speak to what I know about both, plus the manufacturer that I know the most about. Volvo: Depending on where you are located it appears there are only five branches in FL (6 if you count Cowin in Pensacola). From a product support standpoint this might limit your ability to quickly get...

Why did cat stop makeing the d4 and d5 highdrive

I agree with D9gdon and I guess the marketing folks at Cat do as well. Here is what they said to Construction Equipment Magazine in 2008 after the D7E intro: "We carefully evaluated all of the kinds of work that a D7 does, and decided the low-drive undercarriage configuration is the best...

    BFG all terrains

I just replaced a set on my 1/2 ton suburban. They had 5/32" on them and I had 70K miles on 'em. Mud traction was awesome as well as wet traction. Snow/ice was just "ok". With a 4x4 and a good head on your shoulders they'll be fine in the cold stuff. I think these are great tires and worth the...
