    Help with dumptruck pump

i was able to stop the leak and i took the linkage off and used a big crescent wrench to operate the dump valve. Its going all the way back to the rear of truck. So that tells me the linkage is pulling the dump valve back as far as it can. Im wondering if my hose my be collapsing, something is...

    Help with dumptruck pump

Crane Operator the bed lowering has always been slow. It seems it is getting slower. Dont really know how to adjust the dump valve. Now to show my ignorance. The hose that is leaking is coming off the lift cylinder. There is a hose coming off the hydraulic tank that has a shutoff valve. Could...

    Help with dumptruck pump

I have a small leak coming from the high pressure hose going into the pump. It seems like its leaking between the first and second nut. First nut being closest to the pump. I have no idea how old the pump is but i have to rev my truck up to 14-1600 rpms to raise bed. It takes forever for it to...

    Tightening tracks on a D5M

Ok i have gotten around to counting the pads and i have 44 on both sides. Do they make a special wrench to get to the top bolt? Cant get a socket on it and a wrench is to big to turn inside. Its a 22mm. Manual states to loosen top bolt one full turn to let grease out and then tighten back up and...

    Tightening tracks on a D5M

Ok I definitely understand there is a difference between the two documents. I have read both and both state two totally different ways to measure. Bigbudsr67 states 1.4 which is roughly 1 3/8”. If i take my measurements and divide by 2 for an average i get Left = 1 3/16” Right is roughly 3/4”...

    Cat D5m steering clutch levers

Thanks Nige, that is what I needed. When you say cleaning are you talking compressed air? Also after cleaning I’m thinking dry lube on all the pivot points? One last question, how can I access those bottom pivots.it looks like they are behind panels that are behind the tracks. Maybe take the...

    Cat D5m steering clutch levers

Dozer hasn’t been used much in the last year. The steering clutch levers are wanting to stay together when I pull one back. I’m hoping as I run machine more they loosen up and become independent of one another. It’s not like they are rusted together but it’s just enough you need to hold one...

    What oil filter

Well I don’t have a clue if those Kobelco filters are made any better than the Donaldson filters. They sure cost a lot more but I went thru my dealer this time. The full flow had a number on it but the bypass filter didn’t. It only said Kobelco oil filter and then everything else was in...

Changing out bucket teeth first time.

Waiting on oil filters to get here. That’s been a circus act from the get go. While I’m waiting just wanting to make sure what I’m seeing out of these new teeth are ok, which are the same ones as the old ones. The old ones I took off were stuck on tight. I mean you couldn’t move them tight...

    What oil filter

Well this has been quite the ordeal. I ordered Donaldson filters and when they arrived I had a hydraulic filter as my bypass filter. The company sent me the correct filter. When I put the filters on I can’t get the full flow to quit dripping oil. After pulling it off the second time and...

    What oil filter

Not trying to start a war. I have an Kobelco excavator and it has an Isuzu motor. My local service station stocks Baldwin and Donaldson filters. I read a thread on here where one of those filters were better than the other but that was a long time ago and can’t find it. Is there a clear winner...

Changing out bucket teeth first time.

It’s my own personal pit. I don’t think the teeth were too rusted. I had been digging in mud getting my nephew moved in a trailer and hadn’t cleaned them up. I think what you guys were thinking was rust was actually dried mud.
