Help me figure out this Husco valve

Will continue to spread out the sand across the boggy low area and will get some ground cover planted next spring. I’m sure wishing I had a D3 or D4 dozer! My brush piles are swelling. Need to burn them soon!

Help me figure out this Husco valve

Put the machine through some good work over the past few days taking advantage of the unseasonably mild weather. I’m so happy the hydraulics are working as they should. Just getting some cleared areas cleaned up. I’d made a mess in these area running my underground hydro and harvesting sand...

Help me figure out this Husco valve

I’ll pretend that the meandering nature of the ditch was intentional. I’m certainly not an operator.

Help me figure out this Husco valve

To clarify, I tried sandwiching both tip spool directly together which led to some quirks. This would have been the ideal configuration as the valve stack would have remained the same height. With the valves in this configuration the thumb and swing functions were cross controlling each...

Help me figure out this Husco valve

Then I promptly put the old girl to work doing some drainage.

Help me figure out this Husco valve

I’ve managed to resolve this issue. For the last year I’ve been operating the thumb with the “Tip” spool on this valve. I had simply capped off the “tilt” ports and hoses to the swing valve. The issue with this is that I lost the ability to swing while tracking. It was annoying at times but...

How does this Berco track chain come apart?

I got the parts machine dragged up to my place today. The track is in significantly better condition! Can anyone ID the brand of chain on it? A google search for “TB6 Trac” didn’t give me anything.

How does this Berco track chain come apart?

It’s truly a blessing I came across this parts machine. I’ve never done a thorough inspection of the UC until now. This machine doesn’t move too much around my property. I noticed numerous bushings that are severely cracked and one that’s half missing. I also located the master pins thanks to...

How does this Berco track chain come apart?

Thanks for the tips everyone. Will have another look once I’m done this work rotation.

How does this Berco track chain come apart?

Mine is a CR5490. Several pins have dimples on my chain unfortunately, but the back side doesn’t look any different (ie no knockout pin)

How does this Berco track chain come apart?

Thanks for the tip. Will try that.

How does this Berco track chain come apart?

I’ll be doing some UC work in the near future and am stumped as to how this Berco chain comes apart. I can’t locate any link that has a noticeable master pin, and there certainly is no alligator style master link. Can any pin be pressed/beaten/burned out? This UC is from an early 90’s Cat...

How worn is my UC? Cat 227

What’s the biggest indicator? The mushrooming and becoming pointy?

How worn is my UC? Cat 227

And another question. I can’t seem to find any sort of master link. I found multiple pins with dimples, but no obvious pin held in by a cotter pin or similar.

How worn is my UC? Cat 227

Just curious what some options are on the condition of my UC. This is an early 90’s Cat 227 (feller buncher) converted to an excavator. Apparently has a D7 UC. The chain links appear to be Berco CR5490 and 5491. I have a line on a parts machine with double grousers tracks. The entire UC is in...

Help me identify this telescoping cylinder (dump box)

One of my dump box cylinders is gushing fluid at the second seal. How would I go about identifying the correct seal to purchase? This dump box is mounted on a 1950’s IHI R210 tandem axle.
