    Ran 580M out of fuel

This worked like a charm. Able to repurpose bicycle tube to add pressure to the gas tank ultimately had to loosen a couple injectors to get the air all the way out. One thing I screwed up last night in the dark was cross threading the fuel filter breather bolt…doh! Looks like that fuel lift is...

    Ran 580M out of fuel

I did the same as BGW yesterday evening. I was working on a hill, and the gauge said I had fuel, though low. Came down while my wife went and go diesel. turned it off, refilled and sure enough..won't start :-( I am going to go through this process today to bleed and put pressure into the lines...

Case 580 SM II Popping into Neutral

I will get a photo of the screen next time I am at the site. The same abbreviation as before the stick failure as I recall (as long as I push and hold it in place) The local repair shop said it was $450 just to have someone come out and look, so I went ahead and ordered a new powershift...

Case 580 SM II Popping into Neutral

It won't go into FWD unless I push the lever pretty hard and hold into place -and yes the display module does change to F, or R if pushed and held into reverse. It just will not stay in either position without forcing it. I think what you said about short circuit due to grime and dirt makes sense.

Case 580 SM II Popping into Neutral

Hello, My backhoe won't shift into F or R unless I physically push the stick forward or back and hold it in place with a bit of force. I searched to see if this issue were previously addressed. I see things with Google search like something might be the shift assembly itself, low Transmission...

    Case 580 SM Battery question

I have very weak, dual battery setup. The previous owner replaced the group size 31 batteries, with 2 standard auto batteries which are in bad shape. I should have taken some photos while I was at my lot a few weeks ago, but now that I am purchasing two batteries online for pickup at NAPA, I...

Case 580SM Series II swing lock pin

Hallelujah...I believe that is it. Not sure why a search for every related term under the sun did not bring up this part. Thank you much!!

Case 580SM Series II swing lock pin

Hello! I owned Case 580C about 20 years ago that was a lot of fun. Building and landscaping a new home (eventually) and purchased a 2007 Case 580SM so I could get my man-card back ;-) Craziest thing, I cannot find/locate or even identify the swing lock pin part online. The pin you drop in to...
