Dump Truck Cylinder - How does this endcap come off?

This thing went from no leaks to nearly spraying out when under pressure between the end cap/cylinder joint. Shockingly no leaks at the ram even though it looks pretty rough, its actually alot smoother then it looks. I've rebuilt plenty of cylinders but I've never seen one like this. The three...

John Deere 200C weird issue with bucket curl

Thanks for the diagram and info, that's really helpful. I do not have any issues with the arm, I tried it to see when I noticed this. This machine is pretty much just used by myself for personal use, it stays on a property we're going to be building a home at and just gets used on the weekends...

John Deere 200C weird issue with bucket curl

Yes, it goes away at higher rpms. I'll give that a shot. So if I swap them and it doesn't go away what do you mean by going into to the spool, pull the spool? What would I be looking for? I apologize for my ignorance all my experience with hydraulic systems is just wrenching on my own stuff so...

John Deere 200C weird issue with bucket curl

When I hold the joystick in to curl the bucket with the machine at idle as soon as the bucket reaches the lowest point in its rotation the cylinder stops extending for a 3-5 seconds and then abruptly continues extending again at a normal speed. It doesn't matter what position the stick is in...

John Deere 200C Loosing Coolant, can't find where

Yeah my only concern now would be if there is a leak at operating temperature of the engine. That isn't open when the engine is cool. But I'm optimistic it's just the cap, it had to be losing a decent amount through the cap there is no way that was holding any pressure. Photo of said cap:

John Deere 200C Loosing Coolant, can't find where

Big thanks on recommending that tool. Pressured it up to 15 psi for an hour and it held. Took a closer look at the cap and it's in bad shape I doubt it could hold 1 psi. Guessing that's my problem. It's so easy to miss the little things.

John Deere 200C Loosing Coolant, can't find where

Good feedback, I was planning to throw some UV dye in there, hadn't thought about pressurizing the system that is a good idea. Thanks.

Case 95xt trouble removing hydraulic pump mounting bolts

very late response here but for future reference sake I figured I would follow up on this thread. I was able to get the bolts off by removing most the hoses in the area then using a short socket with an extension. Ended up being a lot easier then I was expecting.

John Deere 200C Loosing Coolant, can't find where

I have a John Deere 200CLC, 9k hours its a pretty solid machine. She runs great the only issue is I have to keep adding coolant. I have put around 120 hours on it and in that time I have added at least 6 gallons of coolant that I can remember. So by my math that is about 1 cup of coolant per...

Hour Meter Question 2006 John Deere 200C

I guess my confusion is the auctioneer says the previous owner told him it had 8,500 hours on it and that the information display stopped working when they were getting it cleaned up for the auction, said they ran out of time to troubleshoot it. Sounds like a convenient story and that photo look...

Hour Meter Question 2006 John Deere 200C

Looking at this John Deere that is going to auction, its a couple hours from me so wondering if I should make the drive to look at it or if it's a waste of time. The machine looks like it was very well maintained from photos and videos, farmer owned, auctioneer says everything they sell of this...

Case 95XT - Hydraulics High Flow Filter

Gary thanks for the reply and my apologies on a very delayed response. Great information on the high pressure high flow pump that makes more sense now! And it is good to know what I have, I saw a mention of that in the manual and was wondering if it had something to do with that but it's good...

Case 40 XT Newb with lots of Questions

Apologies for bumping an old thread but I was wondering is this bearing pre load issue with all the early xt models or specific to the 40XT? I have a 95xt that had 2 extra gallons of oil in the chain case on both sides when I bought it. I put 15 hrs on it and checked again, doesn't seem to be...

Case 95XT - Hydraulics High Flow Filter

Skip to the sentence at the end if you don't want to read the background here: The hydraulics filter light on my instrument panel is on and does not turn off once the machine is warmed. Based on screenshots attached from the manual this light turns on when the dp across the filter is greater...
