    After-market cutting edges

You need to ask for the "Hot Cupped" End Bits. It sounds like they sold you the level cut end bits. They sold you the level cut bits because they are usually cheaper.

    After market under carriage

Most of the u/c comes from Italian, Korean, and Chinese companies. Put it this way, if you buy enough parts you can have "Dickjr." stamped into everything.

    After market under carriage

Deere has contracted ITR to make the chains for the new 450,550, and 650 machines. They are putting the JD stamps on all of the links. They are also a very popular aftermarket brand. You won't find a lot of difference between ITR, V-Track, DCF or any of the other aftermarket korean...

    System one undercarriage.

I have converted around 30 D6N,R, and T models. The problem is I haven't found a way to convert any of the K models. If anyone has any insight on this it would be much appreciated. I just finished a complete undercarriage replacement on a D3K LGP and had to put system one back on it.:beatsme...

    System one undercarriage.

Rumor has it that the HD undercarriage will again be standard on new machines. System one will be an option. I have NOT had confirmation from a Cat rep. on this.

    Kinked Tracks

You have a couple of options on getting your tracks to loosen. Walk your machine around to see if they will loosen. Walk your machine through water or soak them with diesel and see if they will loosen. These two methods rarely work but I have heard of people having success. The only sure...

    Mystery Track Rollers

The measurement I come up with c-c on the bolt holes on the collar is 101.6mm. Across c-c on the bolt holes is 317.5mm. The bolt holes measure 17mm. I can't find any rollers that are 422mm across. 422mm is extremely wide for this machine. What is your email address? I can email specs on...

    Mystery Track Rollers

Give me the measurements and I will identify the rollers that you are needing. I am showing the Solar 225LC-V can have two different rollers on it and both have different measurements. Aftermarket part #'s PC395 or VA1584. Thanks, QuickTrax

    Undercarrige jungle?

They will have different bolt patterns. I believe you can use the D65P conplete track on the D6C,D but would have to adjust the link count.

    Undercarrige jungle?

I am also taking bolt pattern into consideration. The Kom. D65 does have an 8" pitch but it doesn't have the same link as the D6c,d chains.
  12. Q

    Undercarrige jungle?

The D6C chain is the same as the JD850C. It does not fit any Komatsu or Case equipment. Good luck, QuickTrax

    D6 System One Undercarriage

Noone is making the system one u/c aftermarket. Your only aftermarket option would be converting back to the standard heavy duty u/c. The aftermarket side will eventually come out with replacement parts but it will be a while before anything aftermarket is on the shelves. Good Luck, QuickTrax

How to free up track links????

We see it alot. I recommend what curb guy said. If that doesn't work they will have to be pressed apart and cleaned then pressed back together. You will possibly require a few new and bushings if they will not come apart. Good luck, Quick Trax

Rubber plugs instead of threaded bungs in Cat roller, and idlers

I prefer the threaded plugs but not all parts come that way. It is what it is. They do the same job and are both reliable. The threaded plug style is more convenient when rebuilding components.

    Idler removal Cat 311B

Your machine takes the same Idler as the Cat 312. If the shaft is loose your seals have failed and oil has leaked out and probably ruined the inside of the idler. I wouldn't waste time trying to repair your old one. You could probably find a new aftermarket locally for around $425-$450. Most...

    D6H series II track question

The Cat website is saying this machine "As Shipped" came with a 8E2355/6 link #. This link # belongs to the standard duty chains. The heavy duty link # is 8E7405/6.

    D6H series II track question

Hi Multiracer, I know I am late on this thread but this should be some good info for you. The standard duty chain is what your s/n calls for but you can also put the heavy duty chain on your machine if you remove the wear strips off of your track guides. The bolt pattern is identical and your...

    Worn trunion,

You can take your caps off and grind the flat areas down so it will remove some of the slop.
