    Ok, I had someone check it out and they thought maybe there was an accumulator or something that might be bad and causing the brakes to suddenly lock vs a ramp down / smooth deceleration.

    Yes, there are 4 hoses. I know that two are for basket tilt and figured the other two were for the telescope function.

    So when driving the lift, the machine comes to an abrupt stop as soon as you return the joystick to center. Is this normal on this machine or should it be a more gentle deceleration? If it should be more gentle, what would I start looking for as the probable issue?

    @OFF , if you find the info on all the hose lengths, I could probably use them as I have several that are showing a lot of wear or are starting to crack.

    One other observation when testing it out before purchasing, It is very jumpy when going in reverse and trying to steer it at the same time. I assume it has to do with the joy stick control on the basket but haven’t had time to look into it yet. First up will be changing oil and adding fresh...

    I just purchased a 40F (serial number 728396) and not sure what year it is. Everything works on it but want to get up to speed on it, preform all maintenance (so I know when it was all done), and fix her up cosmetically. She has set outside this barn for the last 2+ years….not sure before...
