Any suggestions for replacement bucket teeth?

    Rocky Sandy soil. Really rocky.

Any suggestions for replacement bucket teeth?

The teeth on my Deere 310L backhoe rear bucket are looking kind of worn, especially on the outside teeth. They are the flat kind, which came with the bucket. What is the functional difference between flat and regular, and is there a brand or supplier I should seek out? And do I need a...

Anyone been a victim of an equipment scam?

Trump should send a navy seal crew to chase these clowns down, and chop off their hands.

Anyone been a victim of an equipment scam?

I bought my backhoe from an independent dealer in Indiana. Hired the Deere dealer to do an inspection, and check serial number before I paid for it.

Plowing snow with a Case 480c?

I have a Deere 310 L, and use it to plow snow in Massachusetts. Lately, winters have been on the mild side, but we can get 15-24 inches in single storm. First, chains are a necessity. I bought Trygg chains from White Mountain. They had great discounts off MSRP. They are heavy, a PITA to put...

Milwaukee grease gun vs hand. How to stop the oozing after you release the trigger.

Based on the recommendations from this site, I bought a Milwaukee electric grease gun. When I use it, it continues to ooze grease after I release the trigger. That means if I disconnect the fitting from the zerk, without waiting 15 seconds, grease oozes out of the tip, and globs on the zerk...

Would you trust ebay for Deere filters?

I do the two fuel filters, the oil filters, and an oil change every year. I do the hydraulic filter, and the transmission filter every two years. Change the DEF filter when I flush and refill the nearly empty DEF tank. I probably put 200 hours on the machine in a year.

Would you trust ebay for Deere filters?

Would you buy filters off of eBay? Oem or Chinese aftermarket? Price discounts are huge.

Chain size. Am I being silly?

Is 1/4 inch, class 70 chain strong enough for lifting things with my backhoe? I bought some 3/8 chain, but it's a bit heavy for most things. Is 1/4 inch enough, or should I return it for 5/16? I lift things like my snowplow and mount plate, pulling T posts, and putting in 30 foot telephone...

Sears Backhoe seat squeaking. How to fix?

Sears is a seating manufacturer that makes seats for heavy equipment, trucks, etc. It's not spring related. It's related to the pivot points on the air ride seat. It has nothing to do with Sears Roebuck.

Sears Backhoe seat squeaking. How to fix?

I have a Sears Seating backhoe seat in my Deere 310L. It's squeaking when the backhoe bounces, and it's driving me nuts. Tried removing the skirt, and spraying with silicone lube. No success. Tried calling Sears, and asking for advice, and ended up with some very bitchy female who refused to...

    Radio Replacement

Anyone put a compact subwoofer in a backhoe? Not sure where you could mount it.

    Radio Replacement

I replaced the simple, AM / FM radio in my Deere 310L with a Kenwood that would do MP3. BOught it at Best Buy. Replaced the two factory speakers with four high end models. The slot for the radio was a standard DIN. Also added a 2M / 440 FM ham radio, so spending time in the cab is lots of...

    Who has fresh DEF?

When the Deere mechanic came out to change the front seal on the 310L backhoe axle, he told me that Deere had worked out most of the bugs by the L series, and that I bought a pretty reliable unit if I did the fluid and filter changes regularly. He warned me though that the biggest PITA was the...

Bought a used 303.5 - Scammed or just Stupid? Or both?

Always ask. If they say no, you’re out nothing. If they say yes, you have some cash to fix the problems.

    2015 Deere 310 L backhoe not starting.

The dealer wants $840. The weather warmed up. The hoe thawed and started right up. No clue. I checked the connections and everything was clean. I used a leaf blower to dry everything out, and ran the engine to heat the tractor up.

    2015 Deere 310 L backhoe not starting.

A manual is $700. That’s a month of hay to feed the animals. We’re not a construction company, using the hoe to make money. We’re an animal rescue.
