    CAT 315-07 hydraulic noise.

I have spoken with CAT agent regarding this and they are certain there is no bulletin, their mechanic did mention that another CAT of the same series/ year is making a similar sound but in his words "I was there for another issue so I didn't look any further into it and the customer didn't...

    CAT 315-07 hydraulic noise.

Hello all. We own a CAT 315-07 Next Gen excavator that we bought new at the end of 2022. It currently has 1700 machine hours on the clock, has been fully serviced at the correct intervals by our local CAT agent. At around 300hrs the machine started making a rather loud hydraulic cavitation...

    Yanmar travel motor

Without having a flow tester you will need to go old school and start unbolting hydraulic hoses and start cleaning. Unbolt the hoses from the center joint and final drive motors and use compressed air to clean the lines....or a water blaster making sure all hoses are clean and dry after. You...

    Yanmar travel motor

If there is debris stuck in one of the main supply lines it would limit flow in one direction of travel and restrict flow in the other direction of travel....

    Yanmar travel motor

At a shot in the dark I'm thinking there is some debris stuck some where, maybe the center joint and when the machine requires full hydraulic flow to the final driver motor (example, walking up a incline etc) it cant get the oil it requires. You have measured pressure.....not flow. Pressure is...

    Yanmar travel motor

Your pressures are normal, what about the flow? Where are you measuring the pressures? Does it have the same issue walking the machine forward and reverse?

    Yanmar travel motor

Check your case drain at the center joint..... Make sure you have very little flow and pressure there. If you were to walk the machine and operate the boom and stick, what happens then?

2000 CAT314cLCR breaking rod that holds Swivel in place

One other thought. If you were to remove the pin that locates the center joint, you should be able to get a lever bar into between the hydraulic hoses and turn the center joint back and forth a 5 or 10 degrees.....with the machine shut down of course. If it takes a heap of effort then the...

2000 CAT314cLCR breaking rod that holds Swivel in place

It might be fair to think that a previous owner has had the center joint (swivel) resealed at some stage. I've little experience on the Cat make however I know many other makes have shims at the base of the center joint. Perhaps remove the belly pan and the base from the center joint and inspect...

Komatsu D65 PX-15 idle and exhaust smoke issues.

Hi there, I'm after some advice from you very clever people. We have a Komatsu D65 PX-15 dozer that when the engine is at normal operating temp has a very rough idle, not so bad that it is hunting but sounds as though it has a large camshaft fitted.....sounds real cool and but is not right...
