    What's your hoe doing?

You've used my rocks well, T-town, I'll forgive it this time. You've made great progress and the landscaping looks really nice. Uh, that's a big rock!

    What's your hoe doing?

Well, great! The tank is in really nice shape and it'd be cool to keep it that way inside and under cover. I knew diesel wasn't nearly as volatile as gas but have only seen it stored outside, but granted, often next to gas tanks.

    What's your hoe doing?

I may end up using it on Mr. Discopants, if the scale is right. I'll figure out something good for it. I could chop it in half for a pretty good fire pit... Safe to assume no one stores a diesel tank in their barn? Mine will find a home in there until I fill it but I assume it's best to build a...

    Mulching - "The Daily Grind"

I agree Colson, but I just need the kind that attaches to the tractor and swings out to take care of the stuff, like honeysuckle, about 3-10 feet high around the yard and property lines. I don't mind some hanging over the yard, but I've got a few killers if I drive the mower too hard into them...

    What's your hoe doing?

I now have two, count them two, fuel tanks that I got for free. The FIL paid me a small, probably 150 gallon tank for helping him move some i-beams for a bridge he's building. It's in very good shape but I need to build a skid for it and probably put it in the barn until I fill it. He brought it...

    Mystery Ford 555

You may try the ol' charcoal rubbing technique also. Not sure if the number plate would be engraved but putting a piece of paper over it then rubbing a piece of charcoal or crayon or whatever over it may reveal something. Doesn't really look like it will but maybe worth a shot.

    What's your hoe doing?

My hoe spent yesterday picking up more of the mulberry tree to slice up. I've gotta say whomever came up with the fork attachment is a crazy genius. Man they are handy. The wife had an idea to improve our very small attempt at a raised bed garden. This year was our first go and we just used...

    Brain pickin time

I don't know much about trucks but I've also seen weird things happening with batteries and all the electronics in vehicles nowadays. We had a Town and Country once and one day the locks started engaging and disengaging quickly without messing with them, then the dash lights went all goofy. The...

    Need help

I can't speak to your issue but I'll say my 2004 lb75b has been a good machine for the 4 or 5 years I've owned it.

    What's your hoe doing?

This is the first time, maybe ever, that I haven't heard you mention rain Swetz! Looks great, and I agree with you about the weather, if you are getting similar to us. It's been dang beautiful for weeks and weeks now. I feel like I'm living in San Diego but we still have some seasons.

    What's your hoe doing?

I think I've mentioned it already but my property is long and narrow. We have our main yard which is all mowed, then a couple acres of back field. We've determined that it's nice to have some distance to our view and this mulberry tree, though still alive and lovely, was a better door than a...

    Leveling and packing coarse screenings

While rounder than the rocks in my barn it looks like a similar problem I have, since I didn't tamp, and it all just squashes around. I've managed to press a lot of it in where I park the backhoe but everything else is like walking in hard slush, which also means moving the mower around in there...

    What's your hoe doing?

Thanks again for the help guys! My first job back was to go pick up a fuel tank from the neighbor, so I slapped the forks on and got it. I've got to say that my idea for the reverse camera in the bucket with forks on is a pretty good one, especially if you are setting down with plenty of room...

    What's your hoe doing?

I really am. I feel fairly incompetent with this kind of stuff and I'm happy I got it figured out. It's sad that I waited months to spend 5 hours to get the backhoe running again.

    What's your hoe doing?

Phew! Surprisingly easier to put back on than take off. It ran like a champ!

    IT'S WORKING!!!

    What's your hoe doing?

It kind of looks like it but no, it's cut back away plenty, but yes, to the oil and grease!

    What's your hoe doing?

Good explanation NH, thank you! Yes, the through bolt I was talking about was one of the three bolts holding the starter to the machine. In the picture below, right in the middle of the picture you can see the socket attached, I think that's the negative, with some grounds on the back side of...

    What's your hoe doing?

Mine had 3 wires on the solenoid bolt, up front, 2 biggish ones and one slightly smaller red wire. Then it had, on the top left big through bolt one big wire on the front side of the bolt and two pretty small ones on the back side of the bolt. I assume the big one is the negative, and was...

    What's your hoe doing?

I don't have a picture. I forgot that it was a through bolt and was able to get the impact driver on it, when it was just spinning I remembered the bolt on the back and got a wrench on that to find that I sheared the head right off. Handy NH! On the one I took off there were two other smaller...
