I had a Deere 450B. Not sure if 350 similar. Are the steering clutches and brakes adjusted? On mine- Steering levers, pulled part way back, disengage clutch, pulling further applies brake. If machine stops pulling both levers part way- both clutches disengaging. If there’s no brake on the right...

Air operated valve for dump box

I have something similar on my dump box. No feathering on mine. I have a toggle valve to send air to the spool and it on/off. May be different valves that would let you ease air to the spool…. My hoist cylinder does have a flow valve on it to control rate.

Trouble hand turning the crank after replacing main bearings

Well, I’ll give kudos to the young counter gal at O’Reilly’s- had looked up item online and had number. Asked for A/C compressor oil. She asked “PAG?,” said “yup,” and she went right to it!

    New packaging- I love it!

Changed gear oil in diff and found it now is in soft bottle. Wondered what that was all about but now wish they’d done this years ago!! (Or that I’d thought of it!) Saved the container and used it to put oil in transfer case. Gone are the days of squeezing half a bottle in them having to refill...

Priming DD Series 60 12.7 (fuel)

I’ll look closer but didn’t think I had much slack in fuel lines and didn’t know how much clearance to pull compressor out. That would sure make it easier.

Priming DD Series 60 12.7 (fuel)

Looking for procedure to prime engine fuel system. Reason: looking to change air compressor which has fuel pump driven off back of compressor. I’m thinking of plugging fuel lines when removed from fuel pump but not sure how much might drain out and if priming will be necessary. Vehicle: ‘03...

JD450c vs Td7e which is better?

International/Dresser is now supported by Komatsu. Son had td7-c (sold it about 10ths ago) naturally aspirated and with large transmission (short driveline between torque converter and tranny). I think he said the short transmission is the better of the two. I kinda like the torque converter-...
