Me either, I am too old & fat now!
Rigging a big fir tomorrow, gotta go about 90' up.

When we first started yarding,my son who had never climbed, was
doing the tree rigging.Last week he told me as stressed out as he was thinking ahead about it,especially the time it would take,it turned out to be a non issue. We had to go up at least 40' on the tail trees. No big deal for you guys, but doin ok for us guys new at it.Thank you for the great photos, they take the sting out of missing my SJ.
We were able to get another shovel and a skidder to clean up
the burn (cream actually, going to 10 inch tops! And the mill isn't taking shorties either.) ,all 17,000 acres. The forester said
in 2 years we'll be needing another yarder. It will probobly
be a GT3.

That yarder is as big as one of our landings that we occasionally get the chance to work on

I will have the loading operator send me the ones he took yesterday morning of the sunrise. Absolutely phenomenal as you could see Mount Rainier, mount Saint helens and mount Adams all together
I can't say I miss getting up in the middle of the night to load under lights on the first round . But I truly do miss those occasional gorgeous and brilliant sunrises that we were so privileged to view in the Pacific Northwest .

I wish you guys could see it in person it is absolutely phenomenal. I will try to grab a good camera from home when we're gonna have some clear weather and get some good shots.

Manual frictions/brakes are another sign.
Hopefully you are not in Washington State with that as as labor and industries would have a field day with it.
