The company has a dash cam in every tractor and has for 10 years plus now. Every trailer has a tracker with box temp. That's 64 cameras and
105 trackers. $$$$$$$.

Think about it this way society has turned into such a lying, thieving mass. Cameras are every where to keep yourself out of court.
Fact is one of our trucks was at a crash scene as it happened in Denver. That camera recorded what other cameras didn't. Our rig
was not involved just there. It's a sad state of affairs when we are forced to spend money in that direction to stay out of trouble.

I can't justify defending lawyers but do have to say that there are good and bad. The system is set up for confrontation and winning or losing. They are being paid to win and that usually involves being aggressive and making people look bad if necessary. They are governed by an ethics code and can be sanctioned by their particular bar association if they don't do the best that they can for their client. I usually tell people that you get what you pay for and if you are paying for a $300 an hour attorney to go against a $1,000 an hour attorney, plan on losing your case.

Picking up rock at the quarry, single axle lawn trailer, no sides, no cover, no problem. Its a 4 lane 65mph highway for miles any direction as you leave the quarry.

Toyota tacoma, with the bed level full of bottled water. Costco must have had a whale of a sale on, and they couldn't leave any behind. That, or they have a heads up on the next covid shortage. It had that reverse squat going on.

Watched in horror as a F150 Crew Cab passed me with a Three Axle MONTANA at least 40' 5th Wheel RV behind it, was just starting to sprinkle,. Heard there was a RV in the ditch at Wentzville in a rain shower on the CB coming out of Wright City Quarry, turned out to be him. Both appeared to be almost Brand New, TN Tags.

Well this one isn't a overload but---I spotted it on one of our rigs as it pulled into the shop for trailer service yesterday. I called over to the office
so the {Big Cheese} could come over and see what caliber of driver he hired two weeks before. When he walked in the shop I pointed to the fuel
tank on the fuel soaked right side of the tractor. {The fuel nozzle and breakaway were still hanging in the tank bung} :);):p:D:eek::oops::rolleyes:.
{I think you need to call the fuel desk and have the company own up to it}.

Like a boat without enough power to plane. If that truck were full of water, no air space, it'd be more than 3500 LBS of water.

I always wondered why the truck stops had the breakaway thing on all the hoses until I seen one broken off, I guess it's cheap insurance to protect them from dumba$$es.

The thing i've found about newer 1500's is the suspension is softer then baby chit. I put like 500lbs in my ram 1500 box and the truck is level, anything more and the rear end is lower. It still handles fine though. Even a rental that was brand new like 1,000 miles on it, pulling 8,000lbs maybe 1,000lbs of pin weight, rear end was really really low even though it's well within it's capacity. As bad as it may look, it still handles great though.

Did your company return the nozzle & hose...? Likely break away coupling is single use.

1500 series trucks are NOT trucks, they are grocery or small parcel material/lumber haulers or hand tool carriers or Soccer Mom station wagons. They are not designed nor weight rated or braking system rated to do as the general public end up doing with them.

As to breakaway hoses, have not seen one still in a car for awhile now, although have not been looking, still see near a dozen per week of the morons that fail to reinstall the gas cap, fueling door standing wide open and on Driver side as usual.

Recent camping trip we witnessed two rigs, they were together. Both camper & pickup were new both families. The State Park had recently repaved, adding maybe 4" of pavement, but didn't add the needed gravel along the aprons for each site. First new owner drove around an hour or more, trying in vain to back into one site after another. Eventually found one he could manage.
His buddy chose the site next to us. He still had is load equalizers on when he backed in, rear truck wheels way too low, he couldn't unhitch. Borrowed a 6x6 from me & lifted the rear wheels of truck off the ground with electric trailer jack hoping to unhitch that way. My wife was embarrassed, but I had to intervene. He'd have killed himself!
Yes, one of the trucks was a new F150 with probably a 10,000 LB trailer. People equate engine horsepower only with trailer weight rating. They should factor many other qualities.

All the north american vehicle manufacturers have towing guides on their websites.
I used to work for an electrical utility and I could not believe what some people thought
they should be able to tow with a fully loaded F350 or F450. One guy was upset because
the rear wheel studs on his F350 dually kept breaking. I sent him to the weigh scale to
weigh the truck and it was at the max axle weights it was rated for. Add a 4000 Lb trailer
with a 14000 Lb sno-cat on it and you have a problem.

In my experience, It's the combination of truck or RV salesman that gives poor advice and buyer that ignores good advice. Specifically, the proper trucks for a heavy trailer are sold by the back lot commercial sales dep't while the 1/2 tons are sold along with the cars that front the lot. The car sales people have little or no knowledge of GVWR and less knowledge of GCVWR.
