Case TR310B Metal flakes from tracks?

I noticed lately that there are metal flakes all along the rail under the tracks. I have about 160 hours on the machine. Is that normal or is something wrong? The flakes seem to be pretty evenly distributed along the rails and are similar on both sides.

pics would help here.

Can't see them very well from pics I took so I used a magnet to collect some of the flakes. For reference the magnet is about 2"x1". It's wet because I dipped it in water to try and get rid of some of the dirt that stuck to it. In the picture with the dirt, the metal flakes appear as little white or gray specs.
