I have a link belt 2650. It will start and run ok cold. But when it gets warm up it will bog the engine down and stall it if you don’t let go of the controls/ travel . It can’t be fuel drain tank, replaced all filters, new lift pump and new injectors. Also the Pryor owner has removed most of the dashboard controls. I’m stumped

I have a Hitachi machine that has a tank drain that is higher than the lowest part of the fuel tank. I can drain fuel all day, and never get all of the accumulated water out of the tank. What I have found that works is to pour some diesel fuel treatment into the fuel tank. It is not expensive, and provides a quick test for residual water in the fuel tank. If you put
some in the tank and the problem goes away, there is a high likelihood that contaminated fuel is the issue. If adding the diesel treatment does nothing, you are only out a small amount of time and expense.

That is a real old machine! I don't even remember what kind of hydraulic pump you have in that machine but it sounds like the controls for the pumps are worn out. How many hours do you have on the clock? Does the clock even work?

I have drained all of the fuel out and put in new fuel with additive . It doesn’t have a working engine hour meter on it. But thanks for the response

Empty the fuel tank and drop a light down. My Hitachi had a tall fuel screen attached to plug where fuel exited the tank. The screen was lying flat restricting flow. I removed plug, cut off the screen and never had bogging and shut down again.
