New Holland C232 oil smell and code 3028

Hey everyone, just purchased a C232 New Holland and it had a bad crankshaft seal and oil was running right out of it. Changed out the seal and now it’s not leaking anymore. Ran it for 6 more hours and I have a oil smell and can’t pinpoint where. The oil is going down on the dipstick. No smoke coming out the exhaust. I also have an engine code 3028 which is low oil pressure by the engine has plenty of oil. Just looking to see if anyone went through something like this. Thanks

I'm assuming there is no external leaks anymore.
Check your turbo, it may be failing.
If turbo is ok, check your crank case vent. Should route into the air intake, depending on your year/emission level. Might have excessive blow by, and is sending oil to the intake.

What year/emissions are on this machine?

No more external leaks. What is a good way to check the turbo? See is there is oil after removing the boot? It is a 2011 with no emissions to speak of. Thanks

Can you check if your crank case vent is externally vented first?

Some engine oil at the turbo is normal if the crank case vent routes back to the air intake.
For the turbo, just take off the charge air hose and look. May be oil there. Take off the intake hose and spin the impeller, and use light down pressure, you may feel a rough spot in the turbo.
May also be engine oil on the exhaust side of the turbo.
