The front windows are all most square compared to standard Hayes front windows. It looks odd. I think it is an old M&B truck from Sproat Lake division - HDX will know for sure. I have seen several B&W pictures of her - maybe here on HE or Hank Sudermans website.

This truck and a number of her sister trucks are all Mack LMSWL trucks 1949-1950 from Great Central Lake (Later became Sproat Lake Division) of MacMillan Bloedel. The problem with these model trucks was always the cabs, Would not stand up to the rough conditions they were used in and they tended to break up. The decision was made to send a number of them over to Hayes in Vancouver and they modified their Hayes cabs to fit these Mack trucks and this was the end result. Although this truck has been heavily modified over the years, The Mack 65,000 rear ends were replaced with 46-40 rear ends and the HD Hayes fenders but still retains the original rad and hood as well as fuel tank. I believe the original Mack Main trans is also still in her also

Restoration of #H208 is going on - slowly but good for a modeller like me to see how the steering is. Good to see Ron again - I have not seen him for over 12 years or more, but his first remark was - “Well is it not Mr. Loeb - good to see you again” What a welcome to get.

MB Trailer Sighting - Came across this old Northwest Bay Division trailer with an MB logo behind a Mosaic tractor at the Co-op in Chemainus. This tri-axle trailer number is X95 and I was told by the truck driver that they also have a longer trailer X160 back at the Northwest Bay shops. Still working hauling pulp to Chambers chipper in Chemainus.
