Uh-- Cummins is real hard to get parts from and in some cases Cat isn't much better. Dealers are using up the aftermarket supply also. Be aware aftermarket is
getting depleted. KW has a hold up on new deliveries, hard time getting electric switches for doors and dash.

Engine is awaiting fuel injectors as shipped the core units to Diesel Controls in OH
They are having issues with getting enough parts too where requested mine to build instead of just exchanging.
Cam gear is on and torqued. Could Not locate my old sacrificial feeler gauges I used on backlash set up so bought another el cheapo set and will check this before reset peanut cover.

Well as getting close to necessity, hauled the "6NZ" Processor down to Cat for a reflash, was a drop off as could not stay. Dropped off Monday last week. Got the call yesterday afternoon where got so mad could have torn the head off the t-urd that sold it to me, another Fleabay bad day. Seems once Cat plugged into it to review is NOT for a C15 but a C12, will REQUIRE a Program Delete and Reprogram with a set of parameters from Corporate that will have to be PURCHASED, estimate coming Monday as the shop gets the pricing from Cat Corporate.

So if find something on Fleabay being sold by Dieseltrade, maybe look elsewhere as I took a shafting from the seller. Should have taken it in for the reflash when got it, was NOT expecting it to be a different engine series processor. Buyer Beware yet again.

Today's exploits included getting backlash set and peanut cover on does have the upper shroud braces back on as well, began tidying up around the engine for components that could be tied down, added 7 gallon oil to the pan after re-oringing the magnetic plugs and filled then installed oil filter, cleaned up in the bay so not tripping thru crap again and got trans cooler hanging with lines attached, where that did not suit me and will be having a 1/4" aluminum bracket made up. Fabricobbled a ECM plug bolt retainer remover and removed the stripped pig in the Cab Side plug then popped the Engine side so could get into the plug to install blank off plugs as get that far. Bought two scrap plugs just for the pieces. Edit, also replaced the fan belts.

Old B has its issues, really 'Loose' where HAVE to use the center pedal when stopped and dumping as will roll on its own, dogbone lower bucket link needs bushing HORRIBLY as does the crowd cylinder, 4-6" of bucket slop and when bounce on anything often lose 1/5 the bucket volume of materials. No AC but not in it long enough to use anyway, does at least have wipers and they work. I will be hacking at the rails at some point this week, just NASTY!!!!

Update on Processor, going to Peoria, cannot 'Wash' it here as ONLY corporate handling that procedure these days. Will be scrubbed of all C12 data then sent back to program C15 and flash for the code and s/n I gave the foreman here. Loosely estimated between a grand and 1200, be gone two weeks.

Decided to replace at least 12 rocker arms, NOT happy with rollers on them may invest in full reman set.
Is a taste further along. Batt Cables ended and ran into box tied down, tanks first sanding completed moving to next dose of W/D 600, wet, injectors are in have to get 2 more intermediate rocker cover short bolts that came up missing, all along working as can SEE on ECM Plug to use the 6NZ unit when finally does come back. Also been chasing electrical gremlins and replaced all the dash bulbs, several switch indicators.

If those rocker rollers are streaked that's pretty common and most are acceptable. Look up a chart on what's a go and not.
Use Norton 800 grit with a nap lock 6" pad on a D/A sander then go to 1200. then polish. Or load them up, drive out, and I'll sand polish them for you.
I normally start 400, 800 then 1200 sometimes 1500 grit. The paper has holes in it to help stop loading.
