Does it look at all similar to this unit?
Maybe I'm not getting enough cranking amps to turn the generator over. Battery is reading 12 volts. I'm getting a clicking like the one in the video. The positive terminal goes right to the unit that is clicking. Not sure if its a small solenoid or capacitor.

In theory it should hand crank if the issue is just in the "motor over" circuit. I can dig through my Kohler files and see if I have anything that goes that far back. If nothing else, the folks over on the SmokStak forums usually have info on older style gensets like that.

All of them that I had that had a mag were hand cranked. I don't think I would want to hand crank one with a distributor.

Dug around through what I have, but nothing that goes back that far.

Without proper Model/Serial may have to do it old school and see where you're getting voltage to and where it's not getting to when it "clicks". I'd say bring a fresh battery or jump box if it's resting at 12v; it could be falling on it's face the minute you try to start.
