Curious to know if you can raise cab with engine running? Or, can you start engine while cab is up?
I have a small hydraulic leak and was curious about the answers to the above questions. Figured it might be easier to spot when engine is running. Leak is underneath at belly pan. Caterpillar 289d is machine.

Thanks,

1. Yes
2. No
And everything is much easier if you remove the bucket and raise/lock the loader arms before you start.

Yes you can, It is like doing yoga! Like Cmark says remove bucket and lock lift arm, you may also want to block it up to suspend tracks so you can check for leaks in drive hydraulics.
