Anyone know how to synchronize the drive controls on a 2014 Takeuchi TB 138FRC mini excavator? The left drive is faster than the right. Thank you,

Something change recently? If it's got some hours on it, more likely the swivel seals need replacing, or the right side motor is worn. Any other weak functions? Could also be a weak pump.

Tracks the same? Tensioned the same? If they’re using the same style hydrostats as the skid steers it’s not terribly hard to adjust them. How many hours on it? How far off are the sides from each other?

Not hydrostats on an excavator, typically split pumps and control valves. Usually no adjustment as pumps and motors are matched, so up against the stops they should be within a couple per cent.

Only exception I know of would be the Mecalac MCR models.

True, didn’t think about that part of it. When I see Takeuchi my brain goes skid steer!

By the way, is the problem the same going forward and backward?

It is most notable going forward especially in rabbit mode. The machine has approximately 1400 hrs on it. Tracks are tensioned the same. the machine overall performs very well. It is a bit aggravating when the left control seems to have more power.

Back to leaking swivel seals first thought, possible weak motor relief valve, or again back to pump or motor issues.

Perhaps change the oil out of the drives and see what you see. I think they recommend changing at a 1000 hours if its the same as my Taki.
