excavator-mitsubishi mx45 problems (mech. help!!)

been running excavators for a while and finally purchase my own.
mitsubishi (they also make cat) mx45. it's an older model and the joy sticks don't work.:confused: you can operate the valves by hand so it seems to be something electrical. i'm sure one of you expert technitions have an answer for me. i live in the seattle / tacoma area. anyone got a fix?

Most likely the microswitch on the armrest ( one on each one if they both go up) is not working.
Happened on my MM35B. Mine I just had to adjust. these activate a solenoid valve that allows the pilot controls to work.

You must have some type of lock-out lever for when you get off the machine? That may not be making contact to release the controls.

My Tak will do it if the lights and a/c are on and at idle for a while. It doesn't have enough amps left to release the electric safety lock when I get back in unless I hit the high idle.

Check your safety lockout, I bet it's something to do with that.

Hey dont know if you ever fixed your machine but my old boss finally found the problem/ there is a hidden reset button on the controller board.. the mechanic spent two days cleaning all the wiring connections to the controller and reset the button in
the center of the board. You will have to look close.. He was all set to rig up mechanical handles.
