I have a Genie Boom TMZ-34/19 that at any of the controls. I purchased it from a gentlemen who told me it had a problem with the system board. I sent the board to Radwell to have fixed and received it back but there was no change. I have power at the control box where the wires come from the batteries. There is one light on in the control box which has E-Stop OK beside it. Other than that the controls at the platform and ground controls will not light up at all. I replaced the fuse switch as well as the old one was broken. Both Emergency Switches are good and the key is good. It was made in 2000. I have both blue boards, again having had the system board tested and fixed. If I could get some help diagnosing to figure out where the real problem is, I would much appreciate it. Again, with the key on the only light present is the E Stop light.

Is there power in the basket? Both your E stops are pulled out? Do you have proper voltage? I'm assuming the motor runs. Check any ground straps. Poor ground can do strange things. I can't tell you anything specific, I've never been around one. I've operated some of the larger JLGs. But there are basic things to check when it come to electrical. Sometime it takes a while for the right person to log on and see these posts. There is a boom lift section farther down the page

I do not have any functions at the basket either, other than the e-stop button. It does what the main console does. I did check all the ground points that I could identify and made sure they were clean and tight. I did check and each point had 24 volts. I really appreciate you responding as any bit of information that leads me to a resolution is great. I just hope there is someone that can definitely help me resolve my problem. If you think of anything else then please let me know.

I don't know if the motor runs as I have not heard it run. Is there a way to make it run so I know. I was assuming I needed to figure out what my problem is before the motor would even run. I am assuming you are calling the hydraulic pump the motor.

When I asked, I didn't realize it was totally electric hydraulic. When I looked it up, I saw that it didn't have an engine. The link I posted is the service manual, not the operator's manual. You can try bypassing the E stop buttons, just to see if anything will function. It says either button will disable operation. It's one of the first things that comes up for parts online. I'm guessing the pump motor is like a starter motor. If you jump power to it, does it spin?

The e-stop button works as when you push it or pull it the light goes on and off on the controller board. I just don't understand what is causing other lights and functions not to work on either board or either control. I will jump the hydraulic motor and see if it turns.

I jumped the hydraulics and the pump definitely works. I am now needing help from anyone who can help me identify why I don't have power going to any of the controls. The only light on/off, depending on position of the e-stop buttons, is the e-stop led on the back controller board. I have no other lights on either board and that includes the display. If anybody can help me identify what I can check to figure out what is happening then I would appreciate any input. Thanks

It seems to be a common issue with this machine. I checked back, and there are identical un answered posts. You might have to find a dealer, and pay for a service call. You could try jumping the pump. and then while it is running, try the functions on the board. If things move, you are not getting power to trigger the pump, if not, you are obviously not getting power out of the controls at all.

Going to a dealer/service provider seems to be the problem. I live in rural Arkansas and I called all the aerial lift service providers within 150 miles and none of them had expertise with this genie lift and that's why I am trying to diagnose myself. I will definitely be calling others until I can get help but will continue to try to solve until I find someone.

I really think you should ask to have this thread moved to the appropriate section Forklift/ Telehandlers. There seems to be a better chance of getting answers. Not everyone reads all sections

I have not found a fix. I sent one of the boards to a repair service and got it back and nothing changed. I spent 200 dollars to get the board fixed and they really can't tell you if they fixed it, because they have no way of testing it, but instead they can only tell you they check the components of the board. I haven't had a chance to work on it since then. Thanks for asking.

Maybe a call to the manufacture? You may have something as simple as a bad ground some place or a connector that has some corrosion in it. Are you sure its not some how locked in the E stop mode?
There could even be a service bulletin on this problem. I'd call.
