Hmmm....I don’t know. I’ll check today. Do I have to pull the seat to get the floor access panel open?
You’re thinking the power for the clutch disconnect relay is coming thru the park brake circuit?

Don't have to pull sea,t just floor mat. Mines is a 16x16 square in floor. 2 bolts on one side and tabs on the other. My backhoe is doing the same thing, but more intermittingly. When it is bothering, the parking brake does not release. I am not sure of the path of power to clutch disconnect, trying to figure it out myself.

Ok, got it. But with the parking brake on, if you move the FNR lever, does it “jump” a little, like the reverser is engaging to move? I understand with the parking brake on it won’t move but if it shudders a bit, it would seem the clutch disconnect/dump solenoid is at least energized.

I do have the part of manual you are looking for. Disclaimer this is for a 410D, and I have seen a few differences. Backwards starting at clutch disconnect, gear shift lever first, loader lever ,parking brake switch, parking brake latching relay, forward/reverse lever. This lever gets its power from FNR/park brake fuse. In the theory of operation, it does also mention a reverser pressure switch. I will upload some pics, as soon as I can get them to transfer from my phone.

Yes mine will jump a bit also. Here are the page from manual. Trouble shooting is my weakness, unfortunately I am more of a parts changer. Sorry, may have duplicated some pages, and not sure of order.C93FBCAE-25B6-4881-B64B-A36E80C3F2D8.jpegEFF67521-E2CC-44E2-8FE8-2D1779F1FB0F.jpegEFF67521-E2CC-44E2-8FE8-2D1779F1FB0F.jpeg F3E0E854-D142-43A6-9967-5A1D4D43F731.jpeg FE919EBD-3483-477F-A230-7C015429EC92.jpeg C93FBCAE-25B6-4881-B64B-A36E80C3F2D8.jpeg EFF67521-E2CC-44E2-8FE8-2D1779F1FB0F.jpeg F3E0E854-D142-43A6-9967-5A1D4D43F731.jpeg FE919EBD-3483-477F-A230-7C015429EC92.jpeg

There is a 10A fuse for FNR/Park brake fuse.

The power for the clutch cutout comes through that fuse, through the park brake switch via the park brake latching relay. If your park brake is not working electrically then the cutout circuit will not either.

Well damn, I wish I had that manual. Although his disclaimer says it’s for 410D the switch looks identical. Using his continuity check, on both tests, switch on/off, there is no continuity off pin 6
(Switch off, 6&2-no continuity)
(Switch on, 6&8- no continuity)

how does that damn switch come out now?

Do you have that diagnostic manual for the 310D MG? Is it the same test for the 310D? Sure will be sweet if it’s just a matter of changing out that switch

JD, I checked the continuity on my switch according to your post, assuming it applies to my 310D (the switches look identical) I have a bad switch. I ordered one today, overnight delivery it was like 92$. I’ve been reading your posts on your 410D, intermittent probs are always hard to diagnose. Have you tried that continuity check on your parking brake system?

I am away from the machine but plan to get it back tomorrow. I will check the switch. They both use the same switch. I ordered one yesterday,$63 but regular stock order through my ag dealer. Thank you for the help, please let me know if the switch fixes your machine. I think this is the cheapest switch in this circuit.

310D and 410D uses the same park brake setup and the schematics for that circuit are the same.

The procedure says to test for continuity at 6 & 2 with the switch on and 6 & 8 with the switch off.

Are we looking at the same troubleshooting page? The one he posted clearly says 6&2 with the switch off, 6&8 with the switch on. I sure hope Im reading this right, I already ordered the switch.

I am in the 310D Operation and Test manual TM1496. I also checked the 410D O&T manual TM1512 and it states the same thing. The only issue with paper manuals is if there is an update you don't know it. Looking at the schematic of the switch also confirmed what posts will have continuity in which switch position.

According to that page yes, but my manual is newer and the schematic also contradicts that page.

I don’t see a schematic being involved. This is a simple continuity check of a switch. If this diagram is wrong, I’ll be calling JD

I apologize in advance if I am crowding your post, new to posting on forums. I am just hoping between the 2 threads something will come through. I used my hoe for 30 minutes to spread some gravel, and it starting not wanting to move. I put my brand new switch in, and it did not change anything. Fred rosenburg, when you flip your parking brake switch on, does the part of the light that has a light in it light up?
