do 1973 chevy c 60 have small block 350 or 327 in them
as far as i know any produced in canada. somebody can correct me if i'm wrong. '62-'67 327's had small crank journals and '68-'69 had large journal cranks, the same as the later 350's. a few may have sneaked into medium duty trucks after '69 but i am not aware of any. the only way to tell a 327 is by the crank forging(casting) # and that is not 100% as the 307 used the same cast crank(same stroke) although smaller bore. the block casting number is usually not reliable as the 327 and 350 used the same block( 4" bore). if a cyl head is off, you can measure the bore and stroke, or combined with the block casting# and the crank forging# together should be able to determine if it is a 327 or a 350. in the late 60's and the early 70's, gm used a lot of 307's in cars and light trucks. i had one of those also. a lot of older cars and trucks got engine changes so the VIN only tells you what it left the factory with. even the original carburetor tag# only tells you what the carb came on-not what it may be nowNo idea about the C60, but I had a 71 K20 with a 327 which I thought was the original motor.
56wrench were you talking all 327's or just in the c60's?
