What was that C-series used for-? BV. Ford had a tendency of cleaning the warehouse
Ford made several pickups over the years that were heritage models thats what ford called them they were made up of every thing they had laying around. My dad has one it was a rebuilder that we built when you get parts tell the parts guy its a heritage and explain the year has very little to do with finding parts.

The C series Ford was my second favorite MD cab after the Kenworth T3xx. Not counting the lack of AC. A funky and old fashioned arrangement entirely made out of steel, but smooth and not too loud and tough.

the

park valve in question does the exact same thing as any other it just looks different

I just thought that by the time the 1980s rolled around, FMVSS 121 required the knob to be yellow, diamond shaped, and held released by air pressure. These were none of those things, they were like the valve you would open and close a tailgate with.

FMVSS121 only affected air storage volume, Auto Operation of Parking system regulated against service brake actuation and shortened stopping distance requirements leading to anti lock operation.

They were ok if the shifter was in good shape i liked the GM cabovers because the shifter was mounted to the engine seamed to be better.

Which also added an extra air tank for volume. Before that normal was two tanks and one small wet tank.

i worked on the old c series fire trucks. they probably speccd firetrucks with the flipper type valve so excited firefighters could just bat the thing with their gloves on and could tell at a glance if it was in the applied or released position:rolleyes:.
