The 1st tractor mount boom in the Kansas City area . 67 T850 Ford , 534 gasser , 5 n 4 . I spent a fair amount in it and under it . loading out 518 Link Belt parts . It had 2 35 gallon step tanks . on a normal day it was filled at noon and the end of the day .

I have no explanation for that . That was before my time . looked petty iffy to me also .
Wait until I post two other pictures of American cranes . one with a winch truck tied off to the gantry , the other with a concrete add on counterweight

I drove one of those for awhile. It was a tractor, It was as thirsty as your's. Did a good job though when gas was .32 cents a gallon!

Old Union Electric and Mo Edison trucks were generally gas in the 60’s/70’s

Had there own fuel trucks for job sites to keep them running
First diesels I saw in those were 1160 cat gutless boat anchors
99% 5&2 or tandem eaton two speed three speed sets

93 KW T 600 425 hp n14 and a 9 speed . Bridge side built a longer bridge on false work . Picked this piece up and put it on this wild set up . then rolled the new bridge in place using air tuggers . there is a turntable under the front on the lowboy and the tandem bolster is 2 8 tire lines . Pulled surprisingly good . That is a railroad bridge .

Cell company built on the backside of a piece of property a gent owned . trouble was he didn't want any trees cut . No way for a truck or trailer . Boss thought of this . Nearly pinched a hole in the seat .

Old family friend built a Pull me Push you Chevy truck. TS of rear facing were the stop lights. both ends steered. He passed a few years back, was the big airplane enthusiast with the WACO collection that has been sold off.

Sorry , forgot to put that down . No pictures of the 1st half . getting to the house the Pete is pulled up against is about the half way point . The plan was whoever was leading to provide the power but the last 200 ft to the house was steep concrete and the pete spun out . I had to help him . Pete had 2 speed rears and an 18 speed . the kw i drove a 9 speed . when he spun out the whole mess jumped up what felt like a foot .( I could have been hyper sensitive at that point) the pictures only show me leading .
I think the 1st part was so worrisome the big boss forgot the camera .

We took apart a sand conveyor at one sand plant and moved it to another about a mile away . Sand plant people want to leave the parts in as bigga pieces as possible . The 200 ton held on to things as i dropped off the small pieces . then we loaded an 80 foot extendable with 35 foot of overhang . Not legal but ...
