But check in here because you're needed.
Thanks John. Same to you.Have a safe trip and stay well
Ah but, mon brave, you forget that I have an apartment in Colombia and it is in that direction I will be winging my merry way a few hours from now ..........Nige you sure you want to go home with the new version of "The Bug" there?
Many years ago (20) when I worked on the family farm, we would put the rear work lights on so drivers could see the equipment hanging on the tractor, marker lights were used but couldn't be seen as the headlights would distract oncoming drivers. So the sensible thing to do is illuminate the equipment so they could see it before hitting it. The down side was those coming from behind were dazzled! damned if you do, damned if you don't>It's bad when you think there's a vehicle coming at you because the rear lights on the tractor are on. On a hwy. you come up on them pretty fast.
friend of mine has a farm tractor that has so many lights on it it looks like a gas station moving across a field at night
All the new ones look that way now. From the operators perspective, it's fantastic being able extend your working hours, especially when you have the right conditions and need to get acres done.
Self loading truck brilliantNige you sure you want to go home with the new version of "The Bug" there?
You coming back to assemble a few more of those Lego toys? I could send my 6 year old grandkid down to help! Only problem is he would be trying to mount a boom from one of the excavators on the front of a haul truck to have it load itself!
Reply - "However good it was you wouldn't have been happy with it".
No rest for the wicked......
Sitting here daydreaming and up popped an exchange I had with my dad many times when we were working together. She's probably right
Sitting here daydreaming and up popped an exchange I had with my dad many times when we were working together.
Dad: Is it right.?
Me: It's near enough.
Dad: You know that near enough's not good enough don't you.?
Me: Well in that case it's right.
Dad: That's near enough.
"Any job big or small, do it right or not at all." My favorite shop teacher and a friend still today at age 88, always said that.
I admit I am not always the perfect student.
