Sh!t the bed------------------I've been using a impact on Cat, Cummins for years and years, On a inframe cranking down a Cat main bolt with multiplier or just a 600 lb torquer-- I'm too damn old
for that Horse Sh!t----------Snap On 1300 3/4 drive, mark the socket and hit the trigger. I don't know how many I've done--and never ever had a issue.
Years ago rolling bearings in a Big Cam III in a Pete cab over/ There is a aluminum belly strap at the back of the pan to remove and two solid aluminum stubs left hanging from frame.
Last bolt to torque, the barrel ratchet gave/popped just before brake over 305 lbs, My left hand went straight into the hanging stub on right side, my middle finger and index took it
head on-Exploded the ends of both fingers--bone hanging out. Fortunately there was a visiting er doc from Harbor View at the local hospital that day-he saved my two fingers.
Want a rant---------------------Fu@k those torque wrenches when I can gun'em !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
