Wife's little honda had a door window go "thunk". At least that's the description I got. Door window regulator cable slipped through the plastic mount, trashed the cable in the cable reel. I was kinda surprised, the new regulator and track complete was only like $60. I was guessing it would be over $100.

A update on the '05 ford with cam phaser issues: phaser issues turned into bad cams, then it turns out the cams ate into the aluminum heads, because ford decided cam bearings were not necessary. Repair shop was going to be over $5,000 if I had one head replaced, and over $7,000 for them to install a reman engine. I don't really need them to replace the motor for me, so I paid them for their time, and took the rollback over there and loaded it up. Reman engine showed up just before thanksgiving. $3,000 for a reman engine, 3 year and 100,000 mile warranty. The reman engines supposedly have cam bearings in the heads.

Its that time of year that gets a little foggy in the morning in our area.

Had to go to the quarry with the 100 ton. They broke off the concrete barrier at the top of the intake feeder for the jaw crusher. They used a breaker to bust up the old stop. But we had to pick up the feeder hopper and move it back into position. I had to have them take a excavator up on the upper deck to push it into place after I had it picked up.

Last picture is the wet well we set the other day. We had to go back to pick up the counterweights, and the water has been filling in the hole. Good thing they have it backfilled and I hope some of that water made its way inside the well. Its a pain when they float out.

Made a maiden voyage with the counterweights on the new truck. I don't know what the 3406e is set at in the ford, but it pulls. We needed to get the weights off the winch truck, because I knew I was going to need the winch truck for getting the galion back out of the tiger pen hole.

It got a little late on friday night, LED's are the best.

That tree looks awfully close to the enclosure panels. They do realize cats can climb trees and jump from said trees ?? I hope those tigers are well fed and satisfiedTiger climbs a tree.jpg

This morning after I posted that, here comes a beaver tail lowboy that has a whole tool kit on it, look like a 12 ton in front then a scissor lift and a warehouse forklift. I hadn't seen a neck bender on a low boy in ages!

One of the guys that works for me, is looking for a farm backhoe. I looked online a little while tonight, and saw one coming up at ritchie bros as a "inoperable" machine. Ad says trans. slips and loader damage.

Somebody tried to repair it.

That is one big weak point on most older backhoes I have welded a few they crack on the inside first if you catch them before that it's not a big deal dont think I have ever seen one that far gone

They should have left it cracked! There's bad welding and there's awful welding. Not sure what that mess is but it isn't welding. Would probably have to make a new lower section for the loader arm or find a used loader boom.
