Need to winch my 2013 Deere 333D onto my trailer and bring it to the shop. Wondering if theres a simple way to release the tracks to make them freewheel? Im guessing you could also remove the final drive cover and remove a gear/driveshaft? Looking for any ideas!

Just drag it real slow .You would have to tap into the hydrauls with aporta power pump to release them.

You could throw some sand down to help it slide while dragging /pushing or put some 1/2 sheets of plywood under the tracks, the plywood kinda slides with the tracks, either way it'll suck.

Double snatch block the winch it will be slower but more powerful . Also if you have a helper machine to help it is always easier .Whats wrong with yours? If you needs service , test and operations manuals I send you pdf manuals of them .

Remove the bolts from the sprockets so they can slip on the hubs. KISS

I have done this before, twice now. Each time I dragged a machine over a mile and loaded it then pushed it into the workshop

I have thought about making skis to put under the tracks in case it has to be winched out of the woods. Think this would work or just a waste to time (and lumber)?

As Tones said, just pull the sprocket bolts, spray some lube on if you like, sprockets should spin freely on the hubs. We do this on the smaller dumpers with solid ring sprockets too.
