CAT M312 pilot control fail.
OK, here we go again... Working along minding my business and pilot controls just quit. As I'm using it, dead stick. Boom is stuck extended in the air. I still have drive and auxiliary on joysticks but otherwise dead controls. No swing, no boom, stick or bucket. It must be a switch or solenoid something electrical somewhere. The drive works normally so the cutoff seems to be working. Checked fuses, relays and wiring for obvious boogers, nothing. Stumped again.

Thank you gentlemen. How do I test this thing? Can it be circumvented?

You can activate manually by pushing in the center pin on top of it but it is spring loaded so in order to run the machine someone has to push it all the time.

Remove the connector and check the spool for resistance, or swap with the one next to it and see what happens.
Check for power in the connector with ignition on and hydraulics activated
, i.e. armrest down and pilot control switch on.
