I have to look at a 2004 Peterbilt 378. It has a C15 CAT and an allison 3000 series transmission. The customer is changing the vocation of the truck and they are installing a rig on it. a dropbox has been installed to run a set of draw works. they need the transmission to go into gear with the park brake set. Similar to how a fire engine operates in pump mode. I am curious as to what all parameters i need to change to get this to work properly. Also wondering if i need to install a switch to send a signal to the transmission when it goes into pump mode. any help with this issue would be appreciated.
