We don't have the strokers here in the NW so much any more. The dangle heads have become the normal. There are a couple of companies using using the Pierce machines and I'm sure there are a few Denharcos still around somewhere but they are few and far between.

Dangle heads are gaining in popularity for the cut to length operations and some outfits are using a Feller buncher to fell, a processor to process in the woods and a forwarder to get the wood to the landing. Still plenty of stroke delimbers in the tree length operations. The limber that I posted belongs to a customer of mine. They run 3 different stroke delimbers and specialize in woods chips that get turned into wood pellets to heat homes and the tops and low grade wood gets chipped for bio mass to fuel a power plant.
