As some of you may recall A couple of months ago I posted about having some issues with management at the cat dealership. Call breathless pushing pretty hard for better efficiency and productivity and Wanted to know why we weren't reaching our goalsAs time went on the shop became emptier and emptierBack corporate still wanted to maintain the same efficiency deciding I had enough not only with the shop politics but also the shop Foreman who would Cancel Lee forget what he had told us prior and then to us out for not doing it the way he thought it should be done I decided to job search once again. I found a nice big independent job the same distance away for my home as the cat dealership except the opposite direction this is an example of a father who started his business and expanded it added Sun Join both of them being mechanics for many years. Stop my in person and did an interview and 2 days later received a job offer from them and after doing little thinking I've decided to let the corporate BS go And starting Monday will be my 1st day with the new company working mostly on semis but a mix of everything with an engine as well as a decent amount of construction equipment. I was very disappointed the cat dealership handled the slow time with no training or working with a more experienced technician to gain knowledge to Be able to hit the ground running Once Work picked backup

I remember your post. Best of luck at the new place! . That's why tool boxes have wheels.

Good luck at the new place ! I know the feeling well as I walked away from the best paying and honestly easiest job I’ll likely ever have because the boss was a totally unreasonable jerk. (Sanitized to keep the mods happy)

That first Monday I got up and didn’t have to go there was indescribable. Still makes me smile 7 years later.

Sometimes change is a good thing. I moved around multiple times in my career and found that settling in / getting comfortable isn't always the best decision. Now if I can just retire early, that would be great......Good luck in your new position!
