They were factory on a Cat 215c
I'm wondering why there aren't welded lifting eyes installed on machines that are commonly craned into other levels. It is common around here.
People are too afraid to say something. And to willing to take the easy way out
But on the other hand it also potentially puts the onus for any failure on the equipment manufacturer. In a similar way to the installation of fire suppression systems it appears as though in general equipment manufacturers don't want to be left carrying the can in a legal sense.I'd have to agree John. It is such a small cost to add fixed, welded lifting points, or steel lifting chokers/chains and proper rigging compared to the cost of the machine.
Can we talk about the green shirt with the phone out and walking up to look down the hole while those chains are still whipping around? Some people don't have the sense god gave a baby duck. Even the guy in the skid loader GTFOs.

Your a brave man taking on those shopping responsibilities. Ill only go as far as to haul the stuff home and drag it the house. If i sugested scratch n dent id be living in the barn cooking on a coleman.
Being the tightwad I am, I had to go to lowes to the scratch and dent/ discontinued aisle to do a little discount shopping. Have you seen how expensive stoves are?
Very likely with mine. I can't find a scratch on it.delivery guys said the unit will go to the S&D sale because they unboxed it
