G..G..G..Granville.........!! Fetch your cloth.
What’s that.? A cardboard cutout.?

Simple question. How many of these dinosaurs are actually working in operating mine sites rather than being Belaz promotional machines so that videos can be uploaded to YouTube showing them “working”.?

Tomorrow I will be on a mine site that has a (relatively) small fleet of just under 50 units. Has Belaz sold a fleet of that quantity yet.?

I usually don't like to spend my time on trolls, I just want to say that every 3rd mining truck in the world is the Belaz truck. Don't believe me? Internet is open, go ahead.

Who are you calling trolls? We're just going by facts and asking questions that you don't seem to be able to answer. That doesn't make us trolls.

So why isn't Belaz flooded with large orders for these 450 ton trucks if they're so superior to other trucks on the market? They were introduced in 2013. 7 years later and how many have been produced, 3? Seems like a lot of time and money was spent on developing a truck the world doesn't want. Lack of orders confirms this. What mine sites are using large fleets (10 or more) of Belaz trucks?

We get they make large dump trucks and may have decent sales in Russia and the Ukraine. This thread was originally about the 450 ton truck. Why can't you answer a simple question, How many 450 ton trucks have they sold since being introduced in 2013? Why aren't trials being conducted on the largest mines in the world? I'm sure sites like Syncrude would be very interested in higher capacity trucks.

Until now Belaz produced four 450-ton trucks, one sold to Russia, all the rest are still on the factory, the delivery conditions to Peru are being negotiated.

Lol I always trying to bring here the freshest insider information, I'm in touch with the Belaz chief designer, Belaz factory workers and even the 75710 driver (yeah, that the only one 450-ton in Russia), but for now I only face a flurry of criticism and discontent here.

For Belaz this project is very important and I HOPE that they will succeed in it.

Dave, I'm not sure you understand how big of a company Belaz really is. They have hundreds, if not thousands of trucks out there in mines around the world. They have been slow on developing the 450tonner, but they have many other models in production and use in many mines.

4 trucks in 7 years and only one sold according to you. That's slow in my book. Now if they had 4 trucks undergoing testing and evaluations at mine sites would be a logical step in the development process but that isn't happening. One truck at one mine and 3 other trucks idle at the factory isn't vey promising. How many hours are on the first truck? How is it as far as reliability and availability? It may be a great truck but there doesn't seem to be much demand or interest in it. I would think they'd want to be getting some orders for them after all the money spent on development. It wouldn't be the first (biggest and baddest) machine to seem like a great idea but turn out there wasn't much interest in it. Michigan 675 comes to mind but they did sell 14 of them and bought back 2 to upgrade to C models. They sold a lot of the smaller 475 models.

On job sites...1 Belaz 450 ton in 7 years.
400 ton class from Cat, Liebherr and komatsu... thousands.
Like I said the Belaz 450 ton may be a great truck but it's sure not being reflected in orders for them.

Bottom line is the 450 ton truck is not selling. Bucyrus Erie designed a 250yd. stripping shovel on 8 crawlers but there wasn't enough interest so they never built one. Belaz designed and built a 450 ton truck but after 7 years have only sold one. What am I underestimating?
