I sold a set of tires and rims off my pickup truck last year. 17” rims

the buyer who picked them up was a young lady in a 2003 Ford Taurus. She wanted to put the tires on her car. I even showed her they would not work and tried several times to tell her...they wouldn’t even fit in the wheel well, she had me load them up in her car, one in the trunk, two in the front seat and one in the back and paid my asking price.

thank god I don’t deal with the general public on a daily basis

Every one should have to work in a tire shop before they can get a drivers license. We have alot of problems with people that dont wash there wheels and have mud/dirt built up that throws them out of balance. I was in the tire shop around 9:00 am today a guy calls asking when we open. The bad thing about this shop is its in the center of the biggest horse and buggy tribe in the USA. Its also in the center of the biggest bunch of people that have left there up brings and bought a buggy with a engine and 4 tires that need to hold air.

Worked in a Independent Garage years ago, did NO Tires, tire shop across road and discounted to beat hell. Dude comes walking in around 9pm tire shop closed, looks around asks who is boss, I look to him answer Me. Says he needs a Lincoln Tire, tell him do NOT do tires, NO tires in shop, he looks around sees a Merc, said Those should fit, I look at him and state Customer Car I am NOT selling tires GO AWAY.

He comes back THREE Times, I finally call cops. Cop takes him to a open tire store across town, NO ROAD SERVICE, he will not allow a tow(Per the foreman there) so tells him in front of the Cop GO AWAY as I did. Calls Me and asks WHY in TH did I send him there, tell him they do tires, he laughs and I laugh, guy takes a hike neither of us see him again.

Had at LEAST one of those a month for the years I worked there, St Louis Morons headed to KC or Columbia MO on drag slicks or so thin could see the air inside.

Took 2 new turf tires (front) for the Deere to the local service garage for mounting, yes, they sell tires, know what their doing.
Brought them home, put them on, life is better.
2 days later one is flat, wtf? Aired it up, goes flat again.
Back to the garage....walk in, mechanic sees it, starts laughing...wtf?
New tires were stiffer than the old ones, guy didn't want to slap bead sealer all over my nice clean rims and the low pressure I run wouldn't keep them sealed. He apologized and told me to bring the other one back...
